That's right, it's a LP I'm actually planning to finish!
But before we do anything, we need to choose one main unit that will be our leader for the time being. So, we'll be having an user-run poll. You guys pick my main unit!
PS: This LP will be posted both on MoTK and on Lunatic Red. So both sites will weigh on the character choice. So, our picks are:

Amuro Ray, from Mobile Suit Gundam, piloting the RX-78-2 Gundam.

Kou Uraki, from Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory, piloting the RX-78GP01 Gundam "Zephyranthes".

Kamille Bidan, from Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam, piloting the RX-178 Gundam Mark II.

Judau Ashta from Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ, piloting the MSZ-006 Zeta Gundam.

Again Amuro Ray, this time from Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack, piloting the RGZ-91 Re-GZ.

Seabook Arno from Mobile Suit Gundam F91piloting the F91 Gundam Formula 91.

Uso Evin, from Mobile Suit Victory Gundam piloting the LM312V04 Victory Gundam.

Domon Kasshu from Mobile Fighter G Gundam piloting the GF13-017NJ Shining Gundam.

Heero Yui, from New Mobile Report Gundam Wing, piloting the XXXG-01W Wing Gundam.

Garrod Ran, from After War Gundam X, piloting the GX-9900 Gundam X.

Loran Cehack from Turn A Gundam piloting the SYSTEM ∀-99 (WD-M01) ∀Gundam.

Kira Yamato, from Mobile Suit Gundam SEED, piloting the GAT-X105+AQM/E-X01 Aile Strike Gundam (What a mouthful).

Shinn Asuka, from Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny, piloting the ZGMF-X56S/? Sword Impulse Gundam.

Finally we have Setsuna F. Seiei from Mobile Suit Gundam 00, piloting the GN-001 Gundam Exia.

The poll will last a week. In the meantime, and to keep the thread alive, any questions will be answered to the best of my ability. Go on and vote!

...uhh, because it's only his Gundam game in SNES/SFC that we were able to play =x=;;...

The other few are also familiar, but... still voting for Uso Evin. =w=

Hey there, everyone. You guys should want to meet me! My name is Ranlow Shade, and I'll be keeping you all company for the entirety of the game. I have some more friends that will be coming with us, but they're kinda busy.
What the hell? We aren't bus*thud*
YES YOU ARE BUSY. Anyways excuse the interruption... That was Ellis Claude, another of our teammates. Anyways... I'll be keeping count of the votes, so you guys don't have to watch the other site as well to see. So, votecount!
Amuro Ray gets one vote.
Kou Uraki also has one vote.
Usso Evin gas only one vote too.
Loran Cehack, one vote.
Kira Yamato, one vote too.
Shin Asuka, only one vote.
Setsuna F. Seiei, one vote.

So that's it. There's a lot of unfocused votes, so things aren't going anywhere yet... There's still 6 days left to vote, so get on it!

Let's divide it even more! I have no knowledge of gundam so I looked up each robot on the gundam wiki to pick out the one that looked the coolest.

I am casting my vote for Seabook because the Formula 91 is awesome. It has lots of weapons and a goddamn grill design on the chest, like it's a fucking racecar or something.

A)Rant about the need for peace, while piloting a humbering great war machine and being proficient with it
and
B)have the name Garrod Ran,

Hey there again! Your good fellow Ranlow here, bringing you the last votecount! But before that... I should introduce the rest of the crew that will accompany us, shouldn't I. So, without delay!
Mark Gilder here. I'm the leader of the Mobile Suit squad, piloting the Phoenix Zero. I'm the kind of guy that all girls fall for, except the ones I actually know. Somehow.
You know me already. Ranlow Shade, pilot of one of our two Tornado Gundams. I... kinda lack on the luck department but who needs luck when you've got skills?
The other Tornado Gundam pilot, Ellis Claude is here! I'm told I'm cool headed, but I'm totally hotblooded! Really!
*Ahem* Pleased to meet you all. I'm Zenon Teagle, captain of the Cali Verse, the ship that holds all of our units.
Woo! Claire Heathrow, second in command! Gogogo!
Heh, so you're the ones that we're gonna be entertaining, huh? I'm Junas Liam, Operator of the ship.
Ah, I've been looking forward meeting y'all. I'm Ernst Jager, helmsman extraordinaire.
Kay Nimrod, Engineer, reporting! o7
H-Hi... I'm Rachel Ransom, Morale Officer... I-I'll do my best!

Now that our fellas are all known, let's go to the votes, shall we?
Domon has swept the board with six votes!
Kira tries his hardest with two votes!
Garrod joins the fray with a single vote.
Seabook does so as well, with only one vote.

Everyone else stays with only one vote
.
That's it for today! Meet me tomorrow, when we'll be actually learning things!

And I love him for it. ^_^

Aaah... What a lazy day. No new votes! You guys got pretty lazy. Anyways, like I said, it's exposition time! Let's learn about a small but important feature: The Operation Room.

It has 4 main portions. First one will help us with all our units and whatnot. It's divided in 5 parts.

First one is Group.

Here, we can manage battleships, pilots and Mobile Suits as we see fit, moving them around and assigning them to all the different positions available.

Second part is Unit. Here we can upgrade our Mobile Suits and even get new ones. It has 3 subdivisions:

Here we can combine two mobile suits to get plans for a new one! The MSs to be combined won't disappear, and the new mech won't appear on our hangar, it has to be bought.

On this option, we're able to pick a MS that has been leveled enough (Yes, both pilots and Mechs have their own levels) and evolve it into a new unit! The old MS will be replaced by the new one, that will also be available on the shop.

The last option is very interesting. Using an already leveled MS, we can exchange it for others based on a secret Exchange Value decided by the mech's stats. Let's see an example:

The unit to be exchanged is on the right, a Level 2 Gundam X. It can be exchanged for any of the ones on the right: Bolt Gundam, Perfect Zeong, Hamma Hamma or the Gundam Ashtaron.

After Unit, We've got Pilot options. Here we can scout new pilots or...

Upgrade the stats of  the pilots already on our team.

Next part is Capture, where we can scrap the MSs we capture for money, or add them to our team.

Lastly, we can see a list of our Mobile Suits, Pilots, Warships and Optional Parts for managing them more easily.

The other main options on the Operation room are a Gallery...

The options themselves...
And the save room. But we don't care about showing that, it'd be redundant. That's it for now, folks! See you next time for an exposition on Mobile Suits. But before leaving...
Just get the LP started already.
We said a week, dammit! Sit down and enjoy the exposition!

Ok, took me long enough! Let's get this show on the road.

(Image is a link to the Opening of the game. Click it!)
It was selected by you players that the Master Unit would be Domon Kasshu. Well, so be it!

Selection!
"I look forward working with you all."
So, how are the stages organized? In 4 Generations.

Original Generation...

Another Generation...

New Generation...

And a bonus that we can't access yet, Extra Generation.
Each generations has three or four batches of missions, corresponding to a specific series. As it's the simplest mission, we'll head to the Original Generation first.
Here we have three batches of missions, all ripe for the picking. We have:

One Year War (Original Gundam)

Rise of Neo Zeon (Z and ZZ Gundam)

Generation Conflicts (F91 and Victory Gundam)

We'll do the first one. On to earth's atmosphere!

Before heading inside, here's the name of the mission and the base prize for clearing it. Let's do this!

STAGE 1: ATMOSPHERIC ENTRY

Ah, beautiful earth.

The White Base appears!
"S-So we have to fend Char off, like you said, right...?"
"Yep. Pretty simple for your first mission."
"A-Ah, here comes something...!"

Well, here comes Char.

"W-We're under attack!"

"Don't worry, Bright! This Gundam can take anything!"

"Let's see if your claim is true, boy! Nothing escapes my sight!"

Let's deploy our ships. Or ship, for now.
We have two spots...

Here

And here.

We'll send our ship to the left one.

Ready to send...

Deploy!
"A-Another hostile ship!?"
"Don't worry, Amuro! We're here to help you! Woo!"

Wars Trigger... We'll see what does this do later. It says that Amuro has to defeat Char.

First we have to position the White Base for max effectiveness.

Options are Move, Attack, Deploy, Turn, Spread Minovsky Particles (Reduces aim of all units within a radius), (?) and End Turn. We'll turn it around, as it will help us aim to the enemy instead of away. :V

Much better!

Our Cali Verse will move forward, too.

Hanging close to the White Base.

We finish our turn, and all the enemies come closer.

Now it's our turn to act!

Amuro comes closer.

Same with the White Base.

The Cali Verse approaches too...

And Domon Deploys! He has two options, to attack or to end the turn. Of course we attack!

Here are his attacks: Melee, Shining Finger, Beam Saber, or Shining Shoot. It's notable to know that Domon comes with a Skill called "Gundam Fighter", that increases the range of normal melee attacks.

Let's unload a saber on this Zaku!

Here are the numbers and whatnot. Let's go!

"Be it a Gundam Fight or raw war..."

"There's no hope for my enemies!"

Not quite there, Domon-kun.

Here comes the counter!

It's a Direct Hit!

"That was nothing. :smug:"

The sparks indicate that the enemy is on critical condition.

We're sending Ellis out next.

Go get em'!

"Beam Diffusor, go!"

Not too bad, but could be better. Tornado Gundams aren't that much.

The counter misses!

"Ah, safe..."

Mark's Turn.

"This Phoenix Zero isn't just for show!"

"That line...!"

Direct hit, once again!

See them sparks. Fucking se-

WHOOPS

When a character destroys an unit, they get what's called a Chance Step. It means basically an extra turn.

There goes the second one!

Until the pilot's level is 10, you only get 2 Chance Steps. So let's make the best out of this one!

Using the unit's best beam attack.

"Mega Beam Cannon..."

"Tear him apart!"

GREAT SUCCESS.

Poor Mark has nothing to shoot at.

Enemy turn ahoy!

Char attacks Amuro. His options are to counter, use his shield, or try to dodge.

We're countering.

"With the power of the Gundam... I can defeat any opponent!"

"This thing is white... Must be that Federation prototype. Time to die, kid."

Char goes for it!

A good Bazooka.

It hits the Gundam!

Amuro uses the Gundam's hammer...

And fails, damnit.

Now one of the grunts wants his head.

Tries the same strategy...

And fails miserably.

The famous Beam Rifle.

POW RIGHT IN THE KISSER

The power isn't too high, but the Gundam's consistent.

Now back to our turn, Domon kills that one enemy.

See that bar that says MP? Domon has now reached High Tension. You get MP by hitting and Killing. You lose it by missing, getting hit, or by using certain attacks that drain MP (For example, Shining Finger costs 30 MP). When on High Tension, your damage output increases!

Domon is quick to demonstrate.

Amuro attacks! Now, we'll see the two kinds of supported attacks.

First one is support attacks from a nearby unit. I'm still unsure of the mechanics, but it's related to Master units and Squad leaders.

We'll set Domon to Support, and...

He'll use the only attack that reaches Char from his current position.

The other one is Battleship assist.

Only the character's assigned ship can assist.

Also they have assist-only attacks designed for this.

Let's do this!

Everyone together!

With spirit!

The White Base hits.

Domon manages to miss, however.

Now it's time...

For beam saber!

Go!

Cut is successful.

Char took a beating, but he still stands!

And slashes with his heat hawk.

Not too hard, tho.

Now let's focus on the ship, before bringing Char down.

Squad leaders can request assistance too!

Ships tend to take damage like bitches.

They also have bad aim, but...

Hits hurt.

On Domon's side...

He solos the others like a boss.

We want to stall Char, so shield defense is go.

"The Gundam is taking too much damage... Wasn't this thing invincible?"
(This happens at 50% HP so we still have lots of space to work with)

Yep, ships suck at aiming.

Now, see that icon on the middle of the ship?

It's the weak spot!

What'd be the effect, you ask?

PINPOINT ATTACK.

We get this sexy warning...

And as a bonus for targeting the weak spot...

Damage is multiplied by 1.5x!

The Enemy ship is critical.

But we aren't taking it down yet.

Now that the ship deployed the Zakus inside, we're good to go. Finish them, Domon!

"This hand of mine glows with an awesome power!"

"It’s burning grip tells me to defeat you!"

"Shining..."

"Finger!"

"Haaah!"

Devastation is succesful.

Byebye~

The lights of war illuminate the battlefield...

Of course the dude retreats. :V

Now the enemies that came from the ship surrender!

The Cali Verse approaches.

And now...

These units are ripe for the picking!

Captured~

The amount of units each ship can capture is limited.

NOW can Amuro finish Char off.

Of course he retreats.

Remember the trigger? We tripped it!

"Here's the target... Engaging!"
"Who is that, and what is she piloting...?"
"That's Aina Shakalin, and she's piloting the Zaku II Prototype. See it's large legs?"
"A-Ah, yes..."
"Those are for testing the thrusters that will become part of the Rick Dom's equipment later on. Also it has a bad paintjob, but what can we do."
"O-Oh, I see... Thanks...!"

New Wars Trigger! This time a Master Unit (Either Domon or Amuro) has to defeat Aina.

Amuro kinda took a beating so he's going back to the ship. By the next turn his EN and HP will be restored fully.

Aww yeah check dat range

"Captain Bright! We're being affected by the Earth's Gravity!"

"Atmospheric reentry has begun. All hands, please be careful."

Domon is kind of taking a beating too. Thankfully Master units have small natural regeneration to their HP and EN.

Meanwhile,

Mark deals all kinds of pain.

And Ellis scores her first kill!

Now she goes for Aina.

Something she doesn't take lightly!

Using the rifle, not to kill but to weaken.

Good hit.

Now it's her turn!

Well, that didn't go badly.

Amuro doesn't take any prisoners!

And it's a hit. Aina retreats as well. And you know what this mean...

I didn't take the screen in time. ^^;;

"Ah, here's them... Time to make our move."
"Well, this is new."
"W-What do you mean?"
"Of all the times we've done this escort mission, we've never seen THAT ship... Let alone the entirety of this Generation."
"E-Eh? So that means this is harder than everything you've ever done...?"
"Not EVERYTHING, but it comes close."
"Target confirmed... It's Rau Le Creuset!"

"Hahaha... It's time to pass Judgement on Humankind... And you're first!"

After a certain hit... Mark's MP maxes out, giving him Critical Tension! Now he has guranteed critical hits.

Still can't help if he can't deal full damage, however.

Doesn't affect defense or dodging abilities, either.

Time to see what is Rau made of!

"It's a fight!"

"Your rash attitude won't take you anywhere, rookie."

This game is full of eye candy.

"Certain Kill... Shining Finger!"

Damnit, it was close!

"Hahaha..."

"Time to die!"

"Gh... T-This isn't done yet!"

"You aren't even with Zeon... What's your deal?"

"Here I go!"

One slash after, he's done.

"Gh... You...!"

"R-Retreat!"
The ship and Rau leave. We're not done yet!

BANG

BANG BANG

What's this?

It's basically a level up for your mech. You can spend your points to increase HP, EN, Damage, Armor or Mobility. We increase damage by one point.

Also, for getting a kill while on Critical Tension...

Mark enters Super Critical Tension! What does it do?

His attacks aren't guranteed criticals...

But Super Criticals instead, dealing more damage even! If a pilot is hit on Super Critical Tension, he reverts to the same tension he had when deploying.

Mark finishes the last enemy...

And we clear the stage, at last!

"Yaaay, we won! Aren't you guys happy?"
"N-No, it wasn't fun at all! ><;;"
Now, to reap the spoils of victory.

First, we get our points. It's the base amount given by the stage, plus what we've won through kills and triggering Wars Breaks.
Next, a new Optional Part is available for us to buy. This one is Gundarium Alpha, which gives to the equipped unit extra armor while reducing it's mobility.

Finally all pilots get Ace Points to level up their stats and skills, according to how many units were felled by them.

The top killers get hefty bonuses!

Lastly, a save courtesy of Haro.
Now, Time to choose again! Which Pilot should we aim for recruiting?
Sai Saici, for 55,900 credits?
Chibodee Crocket, for 56,600?
Allenby Beardsley, for 57,000?
George de Sand, for 57,900?
Argo Gulskii, for 59,300?
Rain Mikamura, for 61,100?
Schwarz Bruder, for 65,400?
Or Master Asia, for a staggering 71,800? The decision is in your hands! Until next time!

My vote's for Rain.  Her backup can only increase Domon's burning spirit more.

I'm tossing my vote towards Schwartz Bruder.

Otherwise, Allenby or Rain, because of combo attacks with Domon.

Happily coincides with my vote.
