My opinions:
Touhou has just become 20% cooler.
Suwako is super fun, Nue isn't even worth calling a challenge [replay], and Koishi is pretty impossible.
I do love the new Instinct "Release of the Id - Ultra" though. IMO it has the best gimmick (unless you're anyone but ReimuA).

For some reason, I can't patch my IN. I really wanted to try out ultra!LastWords.

Now do it in on Ultra Lunatic  :V

As for me, I've been doing some - GASP - scoring in Double Spoiler after my score.dat got corrupted. Last night I finished level 8 and currently have a score of 17 million. My goal: 45 million across all scenes!

No plans for Hatate though. :V lol scoring with Hatate.

It seems the only game I can't get to play on Ultra is EoSD. I just get the same message Vanhaomena69 got. 
Has anyone been able to get the EoSD patch to work?

I hope I'm getting somewhere, but I think I'll have to rename my .exe to what it says there (this is a new problem which is promising). I have no clue how to do create those characters. Is anyone able to write that name for me to copy/paste?

I can now either successfully patch a Japanese .exe which doesn't work in the first place, and doesn't work with the Ultra patch either - or I can successfully run a Japanese.exe that works, but the Ultra patch runs into a CRC error when trying to operate with that one.
The working one refuses to be patched.
The non-working one can be patched just fine, but it doesn't work.

I can't think of anything else to try anymore. It's either the CRC error when trying to patch, or this error

when trying to run the game.

the first error says: CRC does not exist
The second error says: cannot read data/title/th06logo.jpg, data/wav/plst00.wav, data/textanm. Data is gone or corrupt.
(I'm assuming they are referring to the 6 or so .DAT files)

SOLVED!! This is a Touhou achievement of its own. The .DAT files need 紅魔郷 in front of their names, so that x.dat becomes 紅魔郷x.dat etc.

Please tell me if uploading a .RAR with all the required files to make it run properly (patched .exe, the dats, vsync files) is against site policies - if it's OK, I'll share it to spare others of their trouble.

Every Ultra works fine except EoSD and IN that won't patch for some reason, and SA that's a bit weird : I have a .exe with Ultra mode, and another .exe with the auto-bomb thing, but not both simultaneously. =x
It would be great if you could upload them. ^^

I'm sure it'd be appreciated by a lot of people, but I'm pretty sure that's probably against the rules.

I didn't have a problem with patching PCB, IN, MoF, or SA though. Didn't even bother to download the UFO patch as that's bad enough as is, and I don't like StB, DS, or PoFV enough to bother. PoFV Ultra 1cc could be interesting to see how it compares to Lunatic. I never 1cc'd Lunatic PoFV because the AI completely cheats, but PoFV Ultra could still have some interest.

EoSD Ultra looks really fun. Very hard but doable.
I love how in stage 3 you cannot use easy streaming anymore on the wisps.
