Personally, I'd say sure, go for it. I don't care if she exaggerates things. I'd even go drinking with her afterward (although I wouldn't drink anywhere near as much as she probably would: there would not be a contest involved).

She'd just write a speculative article and note you declined to respond or grant an interview, damning you with your silence.

Yep, you'd have a real hard time declining. The interview would happen whether you granted one or not. It might end up being a series of interviews with people who know you, or claim to. No one wants one of those.

Someone can be entertaining as a character and still not be anyone you'd want to get within a mile of in real life. Other examples: Marisa, Cirno, and quite a few youkai if you're just a normal wimpy human. As a normal wimpy human, I guess I'd have to give in if Aya wanted to interview me, given that as mentioned the alternative is that she writes a bad article about you anyway. I'm just not strong enough to prevent her from writing an article by beating her up. I could at least take consolation from the fact that she's a well-known gossip and not many people read her paper anyway

I suppose there's the whole going through your pockets/wallet shit. Depending on if you've been in Gensokyo long, she'd also ask any employers you have or friends/acquantinces you've made...or she could pester Yukari to go through your shit, find where you live and just fucking crash your rep from there.

Aya's reporting, canonically speaking, is more about her injecting her own opinions as facts into news stories. As everyone in Gensokyo knows this about her already, her articles are probably read with an "Aya filter". Besides, a great portion of what we know about Gensokyo is thanks to her.
