Also, a thought occurred to me now that you mention Red Magic. It's not like a scoreboard for these games takes up much space, so what would you think of adding it here (kind of how Shimatora has both Suwapyon games in one thread)? Why not? Red Magic has 4 difficulty levels, but it still shouldn't take up much space.
Cool. You can go ahead and make the changes then, if you want. You probably have a better idea of how to organize things than I do.Do you mean converting it to a general Touhou flash game thread? I would, but I don't know which games would be worth including.
Do you mean converting it to a general Touhou flash game thread? I would, but I don't know which games would be worth including.I just meant adding Red Magic, since I was going to be away for a few hours after I posted that, and didn't have much of a plan for how to do it. As for determining any future games... I guess people can just suggest things here, and if they're popular enough, we can add them. At least one possibility that comes to mind is Hopping Tenshi.
I wonder if the level caps at 99/100, or if it keeps increasing afterward. If BEVENTLAED is any indication, then it probably does go into the hundreds.
Also, in my Red Magic video, you can see that my high scores for the other difficulties are:I'll include them. I can't really think of a good reason not too, seeing as there's no particular reason to demand the level and time in the first place, and the game doesn't record them for you. If you can get a screenshot showing the scores at least, I'll put that up there.
Easy: 739,170
Normal: 1,117,880
Hard: 1,296,440
However, I have no idea what level I was on or how long I was playing for those.
By the way, what is "Ventlaed"? I know that there's "Be" as in Bejeweled there, but Ventlaed? I'm expecting a moment of derp incoming for me.I think it's the same "V" in "NBNV" (apparently the abbreviation the Japanese use for no-bomb no-UFO). Though "Ventla" doesn't look like Japanese to me...
Actually, you know what I was wondering, can anybody start a high score topic here, as long as they are willing to keep the first post updated? I don't know. I certainly wouldn't mind making one and updating it if that's okay though. Who knows, maybe it'll bring a little more attention to the game and more people will play it.It's been done several times before-- Shimatora's Suwapyon thread, Chirpy13's Phantasmagoria Trues thread, this thread of Zil's...
Unless of course, we just add them in this topic right here, if you think it won't start taking up too much room. Either way works just fine.Oh, I guess you edited that in while I was posting (if you're wondering why I didn't acknowledge it in my reply).

I feel like it might make more sense to have a single thread for simple Touhou flash games, though, since most of them only have 1-2 categories. But it depends on what everyone else thinks.
Edit:Oh, I guess you edited that in while I was posting (if you're wondering why I didn't acknowledge it in my reply).
I know yorgje has a fairly insane score in the game but I dunno if we can include scores from banned users. :p
If you guys do decide to add Butterfly Flies For Fry, Hopping Tenshi, and Udon Gallop scoreboards here, I'd be all for that, and I'd certainly post the scores that I got on those in the past. Actually, should I post my scores on those games now?Wait for me to add them, I guess. Less likely that they'll get missed that way.
If anyone would start a scoreboard for it though and wants some scores to start with, I'd gladly offer up my old record (http://www.shrinemaiden.org/forum/index.php/topic,14648.msg969665.html#msg969665) as a starting point. I know some of you guys can beat that!

I think it might be fine, or at least, I can't find any official statement against it anyways. Also, it doesn't look like anyone ever went back and deleted any banned user's scores either, except for when the user requested their scores to be removed. The way I see it, how good you do on a game doesn't have any relevance to your actions on the forum. As far as I know, Denpa/DXK asked Sapz to include new scores when he was banned, but Sapz didn't add them (he did, however, remove Denpa's old scores by request). But later, Denpa's ban was changed to a probation, and Sapz then did include Denpa's scores by request.
I feel like this would be an incredible waste of an update, but... Seeing as how there's no limit to the amount of updates, it couldn't really hurt I guess.Nothing wrong with posting new scores, however negligible the improvement.
Would you mind updating my score by... one point? (http://i.imgur.com/UDw26fr.png) :ohdear:

It would be appreciated if you submitted them in the requested format, though, with the screenshot at the end of the line, since it makes it easier to copy/paste your scores
Here's a potential icon for if Butterfly Flies for Fry is included. SirBlueberry, I hope you don't mind that I copied your idea (down to using the exact same border proportions).*approval stamp*

You didn't think it would be that easy, I hope?

This sort of back-and-forth score posting is fun. I wish the main-game Touhou scoring threads were more like this.
@SirBlueberry: It's nice when someone acknowledges something you've done, isn't it? I wouldn't say I'm anywhere close to a good artist, though; you probably have more experience than I do. But I am good at examining existing patterns and copying them, however useful or not that skill is.
(http://i1230.photobucket.com/albums/ee487/KarisaMirisame/bfff-icon.png)Cool. I'll get around to adding that one soon. And Udon Gallop was the only other one mentioned right? I guess there's no reason not to add just about anything people ask for really. If they end up flopping they can always just be removed, after all.
In addition to Udon Gallop, would you consider putting Fla-Fla Flan (http://chibitami.net/works/flash/fla2flan/index.html) here as well?Sorry, I kinda fell off the face of the earth. I'll try to get both of these up by tonight.
@Iffy:
I wonder why you don't like the name SirBlueberry now?
Well anyway, nice score! It's interesting how that score is 1 less than the 15th power of 2. I'd wonder about whether that was a score cap if it weren't for the much higher scores on the game's online leaderboard, so I guess you landed on 32,767 by pure chance.
Umm... My Marippy score is 86,660, not 92,851. Did you accidentally copy that score from the Udon Gallop table?Yes. ;v
EDIT: Oh, man! I just did a bit of searching, and found what appears to be an archive of the Chibitami site! And the games there seem to work perfectly fine!I think Flash game save data is generally stored in your application data for Flash (or for Chrome if you happen to be using that). So it's possible you could find it and move it.

(However, it appears that it didn't preserve the high scores that I had previously gotten on the original Chibitami site. Oh, well.)

Sorry for the triple post, but may I suggest Nize Festival (http://dagobah.net/flash/Project_Nize_Festival.swf) or would that be better off in another thread?I've played that game before. While the patterns tend to be easy and frequently safespottable, and it borrows quite a lot from IN, it does have a decently complex scoring system, in the style of official games.

Though it raises the question of how its categories would be organized, seeing as just like IN there's 4 teams + solo characters... I suppose it could be limited to 1 category per difficulty.
As for triple posting, you know, there's an edit button...
It'd probably be a good idea to include the secret Phantasm (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uasm4E-F8RI) too-- it's technically accessed from Extra, but splits off early in the stage if you meet the requirement for it, changing the displayed difficulty in the process.
Also, there should probably be a specified way of listing solo characters, since (as far as I know-- they might be in the dialogue) they don't seem to have official names.

No miss, no bomb. All spellcards captured. 300m score from stage 6b as far as I remember. First time properly clearing this game so I'm unsure what the best routes are for milking PIV. Fun game!
Try to end attacks when there are lots of bullets on the screen, and make sure to get as many point items as you can.(also put up my Tetla Pot L Normal run on there)
Zil looks after this leaderboard, not myself nor Karisa. (At least I don't think Karisa does!)
Also yes, worked that out pretty quickly. Spent the first few credits testing what earned points such as bombing, graze, the usual suspects.
EDIT: Main question I had was which Stage for gives the most PIV from ending attacks. I presume 6b is definitely the one that gives more score?
So you do, in fact, want me to replace your preexisting score with a lower one. So be it.(also put up my Tetla Pot L Normal run on there)
