Sakuya & Ran... In Grand Chase?

OK, I think this goes here, not so sure though.

So, recently it has been released in North American Grand Chase a new pet.

Her attack is to throw knives <------------

If that isn't Sakuya, I dunno what is.

Also, it isn't as recent as "Madeleine" but another pet called "Kumi" (A One-Thousand Year Old FOX WOMAN) Is also on the game:

Sure, her attack is to create a tornado of utter destruction. But don't you guys think it's too much coincidence for a thousand-year old FOX WOMAN to be in the game? I know Ran and her look nothing alike. But hey, who knows?

umm...ummm...inu-sakuya, without inu-parts? xD Really, when I saw this I was like "....THE HELL!?" that looks A LOT like sakuya. If she said "mistress" or "m'lady" or "ojou-sama" or something I would think that it was sakuya but more normal-like (?)

It's not like Ran is the only fox lady in fiction, Sacchi. The original kitsunes and their developed forms, kyuubis and tenkos, already made it a habit to turn into beautiful women to trick humans. Besides, Ran is between 800 and 900 years old, not 1000. If she were she'd have seven tails by now instead of nine (kyuubi lose tails after getting nine until they end up with four, turning them into tenko). I doubt it's a reference.

Though the similarities between Sakuya and the first pet are indeed suspicious, and might be a more direct reference. Either that or it's a reference to Yumeko, who had blond hair and was also a knife-chucking maid.

Well... Fox women are a thing that's been around for plenty of time, and the concept of knife wielding maids and butlers is pretty popular.
Yeah.... :/

No relation. Really. I highly doubt there were any thoughts regarding Touhou while making the characters at all. Kitsune are a significant part in japanese mythology, and knife-wielding servants are fairly commonplace.

Ok, so I understand the kitsune thing, but don't you think it's a little TOO much of a coincidence of the sentence "she's gonna clean your clock"

Clock = Time
Sakuya Manipulates Time.

That was the major thing I figured anyways.

Not really.  She's a maid, so a phrase involving the word "clean" would fit. And the phrase does basically mean "beat you up", and not many other phrases mean the same thing and are associated with cleaning, so I can see how that happened. It's not so much of a coincidence that it's unlikely it happened on its own.

Eh, you have to realize that not everything produced has to tie into Touhou. As others said before me this isn't the first time kitsunes were used as they're...pretty popular from a mythological stand point. I mean, really, how many other people have used "fox women" in their works? Same for knife throwing maids/butlers.
