Welp. I guess now is a good time to go ahead and discuss this.

With the 1.5 update talking about the addition of Nether Quartz, chances are that we're going to need to generate a new Nether once the server updates. Alternatively, we could just expand the border in the current Nether, but we'd have to travel for a while to get to the Quartz and stuff. I assume that generating a new Nether would be more beneficial.

I know that people have been building things in the Nether, machines and the like.. and I'm not thrilled about people losing their buildings in a Nether reset. So this topic is up for debate. There's still plenty of time until 1.5 hits, and then our additional waiting for Bukkit to update, etc. So, if we end up deciding to generate a new Nether, you guys will have plenty of time to get your valued stuff out.

I get the feeling that the redstone update is going to break the blaze grinder. So as of now I'm all for a new nether.

If we decide to expand the nether, I'd bet that the generation will be really awkward. It'd probably be like generating two different versions like in the past, where the chunks don't match up. I'd just generate an entirely new nether, I was never really fond of this one. (and neither is my computer :V)

One thing that's important to note is that you'll lose any nether shortcuts you had, i.e. to the stronghold, which will probably be a pain to re-establish.

But at least glowstone will be easy to get again?

The Nether camp and bridge at the spawn portal shouldn't be too hard to establish upon a new Nether. It's just cobble anyway :V

But yeah, glowstone would at least be easy to get once more for a time.

Do you mean downgrading MC or Mac OS? :V

MC files on Mac are located in /Users/<username>/Library/Application Support/minecraft. You may need to unhide the Library directory via Terminal (don't recall if it applies to the individual libraries, but it does for the system's shared library folder).
Go to that directory, then into the bin folder, and copy over minecraft.jar with your version.

As for a 1.4.5 JAR, here ya go.

The worst part is I could do a lot of things to improve the image, but its already better than some of my profesional works, so im not doing that, probably.

No bloody way that'll happen. Only ways to get my pic are if we met in person before, or if it involves cosplaying (which I've yet to do).

I can imagine that Mahou Shoujo EP will be the stereotypical Cockney-dialected Londonite, then, mentioning lots of things about dosh, loadsamoney (and diamonds of course), and probably cuing a few British TV references here and there. :V
