> Madotsuki nods.
> "Glad you like it," Kanako-sama says.
> You finish off your food, as do Kanako-sama and Suwako-sama.  Seeing as Kogasa was late to the table, she's still eating. 
> As Madotsuki starts walking away from the table, you hear a door in the hallway open.

> Frown. Who could that be...?
> Wait, there's only one other person living here...
> Stand up. "Ah, Mado, would you mind waiting here a moment?"
> Go into the hallway and towards our room.

> You start to wonder who that is, but then you realize that there's still one other person living here.
> You stand up and head into the hallway, telling Madotsuki to wait where she is.
> "Eh?  Why?"  Madotsuki looks confused, but stays put.
> When you go into the hallway, you see Poniko emerging from her room.

> Walk up to Poniko. "Good morning... ah... Madotsuki's here."

> "Yeah... and she's a bit nervous about meeting you... I'm trying to get her to talk to you, though! But, I don't think she'll be ready today, so could you wait for a bit before coming in to eat, maybe taking a bath first? I'll get Mado out of the house before then..."

> "That's a shame, although it wouldn't be a very good situation if I scared her."  Poniko starts heading back to her room.  "I'll go get some clothes and take a bath, then..."

> You go back to the sitting room and see that Kogasa has finished eating and is taking her plate into the kitchen.

> It's still raining, but it's not as stormy as it was earlier.  As long as you have an umbrella or a raincoat or something, you should be fine.

> "Hmm... well, we can start down the mountain while the rain's here, and figure it out from there, I guess. Hey, Madotsuki, you want to see the tengu village? I guarantee none of them have long noses!"

Shouldn't we be concerned about that Madotsuki but worse presence?

Well, it was a "stronger than Madotsuki" presence, which could mean anything, considering that we don't even know what the hell we were doing or how we were doing it. But yeah, we'll probably need to look into that eventually (my guess is that the presence we felt was Hina, but my reasoning for that's pretty much just conjecture).

Anyways, mostly I'm suggesting going to the Tengu Village to kill time so that the storm can go away.

> The three of you proceed to head out to the Tengu Village.  Thankfully, the path leading there is made of stone, so you don't have to worry much about stepping in the mud.  There are puddles here and there that you have to avoid, though.  The rain comes down steadily, soaking into the ground and leaving little droplets on the leaves of trees and bushes and flower petals.  The rainy scenery is really pretty, actually, even if the sky above is kind of gloomy.  Kogasa really seems to be enjoying herself, at least.
> It's not long before you can see the tops of the roofs of the Tengu Village.

> The three of you continue on until you reach the village.  There are some tengu standing guard; you recognize them as members of Momiji's patrol based on their uniforms.  Miraculously, they don't stop you from entering the village.  The place itself is the same as it was in the real world, except the buildings are a bit taller.  You see Momiji perched on the roof of a house, most likely keeping watch.
> In the mean time, Madotsuki is glancing nervously at the tengu that walk by, even though none of them have long noses...

> You wave to Momiji, and her ears perk up.  She looks over in your direction and raises a hand in greeting.
> "How goes there!" she calls from where she's sitting on the roof.  She then notices Madotsuki.  "Did you get a new shrine maiden, perhaps?"

> Grin. "I wish! Though, maybe I can talk her into doing some part time... Anyways, why don't you come on down for a bit?"

> Man, you wish.  Madotsuki looks a little embarrassed.
> Momiji folds her umbrella and leaps down from the roof top.  Once her feet have hit the ground, she reopens her umbrella and walks over.

> "Madotsuki, this is Momiji, one of the white wolf tengu. Momiji, this is Madotsuki, a friend who's visiting us. She's never really had the chance to explore, so we're going all around today, and she's never really got to meet a tengu before."

> "My job is guarding the village, which includes patrolling the area outside the village, as well as inside the village.  We also stand guard at the north, south, east, and west entrances--" Momiji gestures in each direction. "--and we sometimes have shifts patrolling the perimeter of the walls as well.  We also have a few newspapers that run here.  You could say that we like things like calligraphy and the like, I suppose...?  We also have farming terraces and livestock, much like every other settlement in Gensokyo..."  Momiji goes on for a few minutes, explaining some of the mechanics of the village to Madotsuki.
