>You seem kinda worried about what Nitori said. "Dogs and wolves are different things, but there are dog youkai somewhere out there called Inugami. Haven't seen any around the Mountain though."

You have the small ribbon, but that's all you have in the way of headgear.
>You ask about having a hat too, and Chen chimes in. "I'm pretty sure you could get one somewhere."

>However, Nitori's voice can be heard from all over the place, and quite loudly! "Brace yourselves! We're gonna be making landfall now!"
>You feel a powerful rumbling coming from underneath you, the Airship must have arrived at the Mountain!

"She's always like this-nya, not even Ran-sama can really tell what goes on in her mind. And the last time Orin-san's master tried to find out, she was in a funk for a whole year! Orin-san's master I mean, not Yukari-sama."
>You also express your excitement about finally being able to learn how to fly, Chen just grins.

>You look for dogs, but all you see are the various Tengu going about their business, and the occasional person dressed like Nitori running about. Some of the Tengu take a few glances at you and the rest, but they don't seem too interested.
>You also ask what you could learn from the flower lady, but Chen just shrugs. "Dunno why you'd want to learn anything from her, I hear that she was really hard on the last person who wanted to learn stuff from her."

I don't even go out there much if I can help it. But...there are two Tengu who go out there for kicks, but they're reporters, a weird sort who almost seem to live off danger. Most of the older youkai like that sunflower broad, and Yukari here, are relics of an age when youkai fought for keeps, none of this nonlethal stuff. Back before the spellcard system was invented."
>Yukari sighs in a longing manner. "Yes, back when youkai were feared for their overwhelming power, when fighting strong humans like the Hakurei girl meant something. Of course, that was back when we didn't need the spellcard system, these days it's important to have that around."

>Upon listening closer, you can hear a bit clearer!
>"I won fair and square last time hairball, you really want to lose the rest of your &%&^#$ paycheck?" "I won't lose this time!"
>"Whatever, we'll settle this another time. I have folks to escort and stuff." "To the boss? I should go with you." "You sure? there's a pretty new youkai with us, she's a Nekomata y'know."
>"She know how to fly yet?" "Nope, but she's not too shabby at danmaku according to Chen. "Maybe I could teach her how to fly?"
>"I don't know about that, she seemed worried about stuff like this, she's still pretty young after all, so she's likely still gonna fear dogs." "H-hey! I'm a Wolf Tengu, not some slobbering dog!"
>Watching these two argue is kinda fun, Chen seems to have the same idea. But before long they decide to give up on arguing and walk over.

>Momiji lets out a small squeak upon your impact. "W-what if Aya finds out?!"
>And true to form, a blur whizzes past producing intermittent flashes of light before zooming off somewhere!
>You'd whisper to Chen, but you're..ah, preoccupied. Chen seems to find all this hilarious though, even Nitori, Ran, and Yukari can't help but chuckle.
>"Heh, maybe she'll keep ya busy better'n losing yer paychecks with me." "Oh dear.." "Oh-hohoho~"
>Momiji quickly pushes you back, and Chen catches you, still grinning like a loon, and laughing it up!

Parser's Note: Yeah, Momiji's got a rack, but it's fairly average. And yes, she's taller. She'll basically fill the "Cool Big Sis" role. Nitori kinda had it, but she's more the "cool captain".
And plus, if you guys have known me as long as a few folks have, then you'd know something like this was coming. I can't help but fit in a little "oops" like this. :smug:
