Yeah, I sorta knew this when they were introduced. It was almost obvious that only a very few will remain, or none of them. Still I hope for at least Karkat to remain.

I'd put a little more investment in this theory if the all-caps and non-caps talked as if two distinct people, but a single Gamzee is clearly weaving between lower and uppercase.

Of course he's still batshit insane, but I don't know if i'd consider him MPD just yet.

No, if anything it shows just the opposite. :V He found out who the messiahs are, and it turns out they were both him all along. Gamzee. One person. Alternate personalities, but still one person. It's funny you point out the one time he refers to himself as "we" but ignore all the times he refers to himself as 'me', 'I', the only, or the last one. And to break this down:

Nobu:Well stating "the last one" is implicative of a single person yeah, the others not as much because even if you have two personalities there's no reason they won't still refer to themselves as "I", "me", etc.

Well actually he's more like 1.5 people since he seems to talk like "yes I'm only one person but I'm two people" which is a bad way to word it for obvious reasons but w/e you get what I mean, and that makes it so saying he's the last one fits fine. It's not like an insane person can be expected to grammarify everything correctly in any case.

but anyway it's still kind of moot because I'm pretty sure Andrew would have pointed out "but he doesn't have two personalities" to the question stating Gamzee does, instead of just saying it's perfect. Or maybe my edit was too slow and you didn't see that part >: I mean he just kind of passively stated that what was stated in the question is what is true, part of the question being that Gamzee now has "a bifurcated personality."

Wow, this memo update was the perfect mix of suspense, humor, and moments that make you go 'Oh. My. God.' Gotta love all these paradoxes, and it looks like Karkat gave Eridan the idea for his magic wand rampage.

And there's something particularly poignant about a frightened Karkat communicating with past people that were just killed in the present time. And others that were once friends, and are now crazed Juggalos.
