but finding out the sheer purity of Kuroneko-san~ made me cry tears of joy... she is so.... caring, and motherly... and.... totally unlike your typical loli character....

Exactly. Kirino is a representation of NEET otaku. If you're watching this show, Kirino is YOU. All the Kirino-haters are hating on themself, and they don't even fucking realize it. The series is a heavy commentary on contemporary otaku culture, and all the people who immediately self-identify as Kyosuke and start to go moe for Kuroneko are so dense that they can't realize that they are the ones being criticized.

As someone who gets what it's actually about, it's fucking hilarious to watch Kirino-haters rage at themselves.

She was pretty annoying in the first episode, but has gotten more and more likeable every episode

Also Kon is the best reverse trap of the season :smug:

The first half of ep. 9 was pretty meh, but the second half was hilarious for its satirical take on both Japanese who fetishize the West and traditionalists, especially given how subjective the whole concept of wabi-sabi is.
