>One way it might be possible to convince people to help is if they were better off in 'our' timeline, making returning to that better for 'them.' Our Sakuya doesn't have a limp, and our Remilia might be more known/respected... but it's difficult to say.
>It does seem like a sound negotiating tactic. But it requires that they believe you really can alter history. Remilia quite flatly thought that was impossible, last you spoke.
>You don't know that Remilia was any more respected, but she certainly seemed better known. If Meiling was to be believed, virtually no one visits there, ever.
>As such, possible negotiation fodder at the SDM: What do we know of Flandre, and what was she like in our time?
>You've never met her, but what little you knew of her was more than enough to make you glad you hadn't. Even when Remilia would host a gathering, Flandre was kept at a safe distance from the gathering. You know that Reimu and Marisa at least have had some contact with her, and evidently survived the encounter. But such a dangerous power, and the moral awareness of a six year old is an unsettling combination, to say the least.
>While it might be nice to check out the changes to the town, we've been in enough trouble for having Rumia around. Head out, and watch out for Mystia this time.
>Heeding the reactions Rumia received earlier today, you take the long way out of the village, treading around the outskirts. You see a few people, but don't think anyone noticed your companion. Eventually you reach the fields on the eastern edge of the village. No one appears to be out here now. The fork in the river is further to the east. From there, the kappa village is northeast, the mountain itself north, and the path out of Kanako's domain to the south.
>You try to keep an eye out for Mystia, but you suspect that if she decides to attack again, you're not going to have much chance of seeing her coming.
