I think the important question here is, what do the previous flyers tell us about games that were released then? Damn little, actually.

I'm casting my vote with the "extremely surprised if yet another Touhou game is released this year". A new music CD, sure. Touhou 13? Not likely.

It's a game based on dreams! The heroine is asleep, dreaming about past incidents they had to solve. Stages 1-3 are these past events (possibly being major characters watered down for the stage). Then things start going a little whacky. They start dreaming about things that never happened, new people start showing up. Then you get to Stage 6 and find out that the big bad has been invading peoples dreams all over Gensokyo and tonight it was the heroines turn. Then it's a giant "GTFO MY DREAMS" battle.

Multiple incidents means recent characters means a Phantasmagoria game!   :OOO

Anyway, about that C78 picture, I could only make out shitouse(?) from the hiragana bunch. From the background it does seem to have something to do with day and night (though the right-hand part looked like a big ass harp at first glance). And there aren't any kanji for Touhou ? :/

yeah, one of the worst remixes IMO has to be patchoulis theme. No matter how much you try, you can't remix that song without destroying it.

anyway, I think touhou 13 will continue the chain of events that started in 10. Maybe Byakuren will be one of the playable characters? Maybe, but it's safe to say that it will DEFINATELY involve reimu and youkai. :V

The remix in the fangame Mystical chain is perhaps the best of all. Unfortunately it's too s hort unless you repeat it game-style, at which point the uber intro gets lost after the first play >=(

I don't really have any speculation about Touhou 13. Half of me hopes it's not a phantasm game, half of me does. I mean I disliked them in Touhou so far, but I keep hearing something about a versus shmup game (I forget the name, something sweets or fairies I think) that is quite good, so part of me wants a good one if Zun can pull it off.

If there is a phantasm game, I hope to god the remixes in the game are better than the last phantasm game (I dislike almost all of them compared to the original).

I think Hatate being in it is a safe bet though.

I am aware that Cirno is one of the most absurdly-popular characters in the series.

I understand that by including Cirno in a product, Touhou fans are much more likely to buy it.

I realize that this is a marketing strategy/stalling plan, to stave off fans crying for Touhou 13 by giving their beloved Cirno her own game in the meantime.

Well 12.3 doesn't really suggest that, you see dividing evenly it's .33, .66, 1.0. So, with the fighting game, AND stb..you get the idea. Since going .33 probably looks funny, he probably settled for just 3.

as for this one, I hope a few of the nameless characters appear, like daiyousai (sp?), some of the nameless midbosses from pc-98, and perhaps koakuma if this isn't a strictly fairies only game.
