> Do we carry bird seed with us normally?
> Evaluate Miss Hieda out of corner of eye.
>Typically you do, but you've left it at home with your purse right now.
>She seems to be staring at the ground.
>Ask Miss Hieda if you can read the notice that informed about her house being condemned.
>Ask Miss Hieda rumour about gangs.
>Remember the history of Gensenkyo Isle.
>Wonder if you possess portable laptop.
>You decide that Miss Hieda is a bit more important that Emeralda being a little piggy, and approach her. You ask about the notice. She wordlessly nods, not really bothering to look up at you, and hands you the letter.
>"I've seen some kids from Armistice High running around," she mutters.
>You weren't great at history, but you do remember the basics of what you learned in high school. The island was uninhabited and undiscovered, until it was found by the Japanese during WWII and make into an impromptu base. The USA found it and took it over for themselves shortly afterward. In the end of WWII, there was a dispute over over ownership, but the two nations quickly agreed to share it, knowing it would serve as a good strategic point against their common enemy, the USSR. For a short time, it was a joint protectorate, but the machinations of the Governor managed to do a lot to allow the nation autonomy, and eventually force its recognition as a sovereign state in the mid 60s. Still, the USA maintains a military base here. Rumor has it there are even nuclear launch silos. The Japanese government maintains an embassy, but has no real political influence.
>You do not. Just your old desktop in the front room.
> If we have birdseed on hand, consume birdseed after feeding Emeralda.
> Try to remember the integrity of Gensokyo Isle. How rampant are blighted and run down neighborhoods?
> Speaking of history, any recent wars we should be aware of?
>You've done this before; it's not very good. When you have money, you tend to get sunflower seeds so you can share them.
>This is one of the worst neighborhoods, to be honest. Much of the isle is a lot less run down. You think a lot of shortcuts were used in building this place up.
>None here. The USA has been messing around in the Middle East for years, though. And there's always something going on in Africa, you're pretty sure.
