As it as been established, I am willing to help people buy stuff from Japan at more affordable prices. You pay what I pay, taking things like exchange rates and shipping and other fun fees into account. All I ask is for a little patience and a little trust. Here's how the process will usually work.
1. You tell me what you want.
2. I give you an estimate on how much it will cost in total to get what you want in your hot little hands.
3. You send as much of the estimate as possible to me (
IMPORTANT: SEND IT AS A PURCHASE PAYMENT SO I RECEIVE YOUR MAILING ADDRESS. MY ESTIMATE WILL INCLUDE PAYPAL FEES SO PLEASE DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT.)
4. I look for and hopefully buy what you want, then I report back, and either give a partial refund if everything couldn't be found, cost estimation was off, etc.
6. You pay me any remaining fees.
7. I ship out your stuff.
8. Hooray!
I strongly recommend Paypal, but other methods can be worked out, maybe.
Although I understand you are giving me money to perform a service, I want to stress a couple of things.
1. I have a full-time job
2. I like to dabble in making fan-make books and merchandise, not to mention attending events where those items are sold.
I would like to prioritize these two if possible, so please understand if it takes a long time to address a request, particularly one that's more complicated than ordering something from an auction site.
Still, I will buy almost anything for you, provided I can find it (although links to store pages will greatly improve your chances of me accepting to help). I also reserve the right to NOT buy something if I find it too racy and/or in poor taste. That includes hentai of any kind, books, pillowcases, those goofy mousepads, etc.
When you tell me what to find, please be as specific as possible, otherwise I might not buy what you want. This is most important for things like comics. Also, I can buy stuff from events like Comiket, to a point. I'm not going to wait hours in a line for one thing, but if you have a favorite circle selling some stuff at a particular event, give the event info and the circle info and I'll see what I can do.
I can buy stuff from numerous stores in Japan, Amazon.co.jp, Yahoo Japan Auctions, and other Japanese websites, but at the moment I am limited by the fact that I don't have a Japanese credit card. Sometimes I can use my US one, but it'll have to go by a case-by-case basis.
For those who want to buy Touhou stuff but don't know where to start, here are a few websites for reference. They're all in Japanese, but it shouldn't be too hard to find stuff if you click on Touhou-related links.
www.melonbooks.com - Mostly focuses on CDs, games, and comics.
www.toranoana.jp - General doujin goods and comic store.
www.akibaoo.com - Another doujin store, smaller than the other two, but they have a greater focus on music and merch, as well as figures.
I've seen comics, keychains, trading cards, playing cards, cell phone straps, CDs, games (official and fan-made), buttons, pencil boards, and figures. Comics are anywhere from 500-1000 yen, keychains are usually 800-1200 yen, straps 500-700 yen, CDs 1000-1500 yen, and figures 3000-7500+ yen.
Embodiment of Scarlet Devil, Shoot the Bullet, Double Spoiler, Fairy Wars & Impossible Spell Card: ~1000 yen
Immaterial and Missing Power, Scarlet Weather Rhapsody, Hopeless Masquerade, Urban Legend in Limbo, Antimony of Common Flowers : ~2700 yen
Hisoutensoku: ~2000 yen
Everything else: ~1500 yen
