> Stay on course, but move in order to dodge the danmaku.
> If we manage to get really close, blast her with normal danmaku.

>You stay on course, moving aside slightly as Mai's counter turns out to be a simply three-way spread of shots. Some get uncomfortably close, but you manage to slip between them just fine.
>Getting within a couple yards of Mai, you send your normal Danmaku everywhere; too quickly for her to read. She cries out and backs away as they strike her in several places.

>This is theoretically possible, you think you could probably take a danmaku motion and turn it into a decent punch.. But Melee and danmaku are both pretty broad terms. What do you specifically intend to do?

>You glance over your shoulder. Yuki seems to have recovered and is drawing closer.

> Punch Mai repeatedly as fast as possible while releasing danmaku toward her at the same time. The punches themselves don't have to be too hard, the danmaku should be doing most of the damage at this range.

>You close in further and lash out at Mai, throwing danmaku with the motion. The danmaku is terribly sloppy for you, to be honest. There's little beauty in the attack, with nowhere near as many bullets as you're capable of easily making and with gaps that would be intolerably easy for your victim to slip through normally. But in this case, it doesn't matter. Mai tries to counter with her own shots, at first, until she sees your fist descending at her and cries out, trying to protect her face. Your strike isn't that effective, at worst you bruise her arms a bit, but your sloppy danmaku strikes her several times.
>"Don't move!" Yuki shouts.

>You move to Mai's side, offering you a better view of Yuki. In particular, you see that Yuki is only a few yards away, and unleashing a tight stream of danmaku in your direction.

>Both are in rather nasty shape, but Mai seems worse off from your most recent assault.
>You target Mai and declare Shikigami's Radiance: Fox-Tanuki Youkai Laser. Yuki cries out a warning, but Mai isn't quick enough to react. The burst catches her full in the back, almost sending her tumbling from the sky. Yuki manages to dodge the resulting lasers, and throws a few more of her spreads at you.

>Your spellcards are
>Shikigami: Wizard Fox Thoughts (Significantly expended)
>It creates thick leafy danmaku that one must move very little to endure.
>Shikigami's Radiance: Fox-Tanuki Youkai Laser (Expended)
>An aimed burst of danmaku that leaves lasers in its wake.
>Shikigami's Radiance: Charming Siege from All Sides (Expended)
>Entraps your foe on all sides, forcing the them backwards if they wish to survive.
>Shikigami's Shot: Unilateral Contact (Expended)
>Sends out many shots, then has them rotate quickly.
>Illusion God: Descent of Izuna Gongen (Water damaged)
>A spellcard that starts simply, and slowly piles on more and more shots until there is hardly any space left.
>You work your way through Yuki's attacks without much trouble, and aim some of your Kunai shots. Where will you be aiming them?

>You try to direct the attack so that it hits both Yuki and Mai, with preference given to Yuki. Yuki is able to slip between the attacks without too much trouble, but Mai, being a somewhat larger target and worse off, is clipped in the wing.
>"That's all I got, Yuki, sorry..." she says, as she begins to spiral downward.
>"You whore!" cries Yuki, as she follows after Mai. "We were going to get even, and get back into grace! Goddamn you!"

>You answer her, then declare Shikigami: Wizard Fox Thoughts.
>The initial shot streaks toward Yuki, leading her to instinctively dodge to the right. When it explodes into a cloud of leafy danmaku, she collides with it before she can stop herself. Her cries are terribly satisfying.
>Yuki backs away, withdrawing after Mai. "Better watch your back! You're on the list, Foxy!"

>You fix yourself up as best you can. You imagine your hair is a mess, and there's nothing you can do about where Mai's laser ruined your clothes. Not to mention your tails are still pretty mussy. Alas. But you expect that the people you're after won't look too much better.
>You also let yourself calm down a bit. It won't do to run into anyone else with you're heart racing.
>These things done, you contineu on southeast, toward the danmaku flying in the distance. As you keep going that direction, it comes to a stop. You imagine the fight must be over.

>You do not recognize anyone immediately, but there's a very large one you're pretty sure is Marisa. You'd recognize that silhouette anywhere. And...she seems to have some equally huge leaning on her. You see two more people, whom you assume must be Reimu and Sanae.

>"Wait, is that Ran," Marisa asks, as the group draws closer. You can see that Marisa has an absolutely immense woman with curious hair leaning on her heavily; presumably she lost whatever fight just went down.
>"Well shit," Reimu says, you can see her giving you her business look. "Make with the frogs to face, Sanae! Ran doesn't play around like that nun youkai you liked so much!"
