You head to the school. A resounding crack greets you.

You head in regardles, Keine is seated with her head pressed onto her cracked desk. Akyu is also here.

"Yes. Somewhat. Have a seat."

Keine pulls her head up in full, sighing and motioning to the adjacent seat to hers.

> Try to listen without becoming agitated.

You resolve to not get angry!

>Mentally prepare yourself to be angry enough to want to punch someone in the dick.

You prepare yourself to get so anyway.

Keine sighs. "I met with the council concerning the prospect. Eventually after a long agonizing period they were fine with the prospect of the barrier coming down. That went easily enough.

They approached the idea of a girl becoming the new Shrine Maiden like a god damned concession. They thought it was just going to be some poor girl we threw to the youkai so they'd leave us alone! So what do they do? They choose the girl they think no one'll care about. They probably wouldn't even care if she does die. They probably expect she WILL!"

Keine headbutts her desk again. You can only assume its a student of hers.

> "What kind of numbnuts are running this village?"

"I...well. Shes an orphan, not at all popular with the other kids, forced to live with a near relative who hates the extra mouth to feed, and generally not outstanding in any particular area. Shes shown some signs of magical capibility, but shes really too young to have developed anything."

Keine laughs. "The wealthy, the supposedly smart, the old farts."

>"Ahh... do you think this girl will have any chance if we help her?"

"I...lord, I don't know. I certainly hope so."

>"Um, do you think she has talent at all? Does she want to do it?"

"I'm not sure if she has talent for being a maiden, but... I'm fairly sure they haven't even told her, so I don't know."

> "Let me guess, they picked one of your students didn't they?"
> "Are we allowed to assist the girl they picked in any way?"

Keine just nods weakly. "I would damn well hope you'll help her..."

"Oh. Yes. I let them know very well I was upset with them." Keine holds her head again. "Not that it amounts to much, they're probably having someone relay it to her relative as we speak."

Keine shakes her head. "Besides being immortal, I've not heard of anyone defying death."

>"I kinda wanna know who this is."

Keine blinks, examining the soul. "I... How... How is it even possible for your soul to get seperated from your body by being LOST?" Keine rubs her forehead. "I apologize, whoever this is seems to be... Abnormal, I can't understand what my power is telling me."

> I think we'd better concentrate on keeping this kid safe for know. Act as her body guard and teacher at Hakurei Shrine. Mokou might be able to help too. Consider giving her one of the Shikigami. Yumigami seems like a good teacher. But Mackette will protect her. Decisions, decisions.

You're actually not sure if Genji is dead or not, you figure if the turtle managed to take care of Reimu though...

Keine nods dully. "I suppose. Please, do."

"I tried to reason with them, but I suspect they'll throw a fuss if they don't get it their way."

You'd like to hope you can't and shes still asleep, actually.

> Make a note to ask Eirin, Kaguya or Yuyuko if reviving someone who is dead would be possible.

> My plan is something like this. We revive Reimu. My original idea was that we have Yukari use her border-related power to make a border the reverses effects of attacks or spells, Heal becomes Hurt and Hurt becomes heal, then we have Yuyuko use her power to kill and try to send the Kill-Power-Energy-thing through the reversed-effect border. If my idea works, this would make it plausable for Yuyuko and Yukari to bring the dead back to life. Crazy? Damn right it is. Plausable? Who knows. Worth trying? Definately.

> Asking Eirin or Kaguya could also give insight on if this is plausable in the slightest, since one of them is immortal and the other made the source of immortality.

>"Maybe we'll get lucky, and she'll want to do it?"

Keine nods, you feel like the fight has left her completely.

>"I want to talk to this girl, so where can I find her?"

Keine gives you directions. "I imagine her uncle will probably answer the door, or the council may have already sent a representitive."

> "Would it be allowable to have two Shrine Maidens at one Shrine? I'm thinking of Mokou as the second Maiden, since Mokou is, as far as I know of, Immortal, and I'm pretty sure she is smart as well... see where I'm going with this?"

"...Ah? Well... I don't think anyone would object...". Keine looks a bit off-kilter from the mention of Mokou. She damn well better be after what she did...

This is a plausible idea!

>If only Yuyuko wasn't gone and Yukari wasn't the one that wanted everyone to die...  :ohdear:

>Head towards where the girl lives after we get directions.

>Try to tell her what's happening.

>Have KITTY CHEN comfort her or something.

Except for that. Yeah. And Eirin and Kaguya are in space.

Without space suits.

You head towards the Girl's house. You hear discussion going on inside. You expect the representitive and uncle are talking.

...they've moved straight to casual talk? He really doesn't care, does he.

You wonder if you can sneak around back.
