Classic movie, adapted into a musical long ago. The title is not so strange when you think about it. Xanadu means 'paradise', and that is what the divine female characters tries to bring forth (figuratively ofcourse). It doesn't have much to do with yamas, being only about dancing, 80's music, music videos, big lipped aligator moments and the Greek Gods.
