In DROD: The Second Sky, a puzzle video game, the protagonist travels far underground and discovers an entire world beneath the surface. The inhabitants there are strange are often actively hostile. Soon, the protagonist discovers that they're planning to take over the aboveground world, and it's up to him to stop them and somehow get back to the surface.

In Digger, a webcomic, the protagonist travels far underground and discovers an entire world beneath the surface. The inhabitants there are strange are often actively hostile. It's up to her to stop them and somehow get back to the surface.

In Tunnels/Deeper/Freefall, a series of books, the protagonist travels far underground and discovers an entire world beneath the surface. The inhabitants there are strange are often actively hostile. Soon, the protagonist discovers that they're planning to take over the aboveground world, and it's up to him to stop them and somehow get back to the surface.

In Subterranean Animism, a danmaku video game, the protagonist travels far underground and discovers an entire world beneath the surface. The inhabitants there are strange are often actively hostile. Soon, the protagonist discovers that they're planning to take over the aboveground world, and it's up to her to stop them and somehow get back to the surface.

Any others, folks?

Only okuu wanted to take over the world. Satori, orin, yuugi, parsee, and yamame were happily drinking/living/envying/hating sentient thought.

Every early morning I go walking for a little while. I'll pass by a certain point at which I'll look off into the distance for about a minute. Then I begin to hallucinate.

Every morning I can see the SDM behind a certain fence, but only from a far off place.

Every day. And it's never actually there.

In Rumo and his Miraculous Adventures, a novel by German author Walter Moers, the protagonist travels far underground and discovers an entire world beneath the surface. The inhabitants there are strange are often actively hostile. Soon, the protagonist discovers that they're planning to take over the aboveground world, and it's up to him to stop them and somehow get back to the surface.

Apparently this a very popular plot starter.

As I recall The chronicles of Nainia: The Silver Chair also has people roaming underground fighting evil or something along those lines.

Am I missing something?

When you think of ways to connect Satori to the native people of Avatar, just because of the "seeing" thing.

Well, come on, Satori can "see" anyone nearby!

Oh look, I got an image in my signature. Finally.

I watched the new Avatar movie the other day.

I spent much of the battle scenes counting the main characters' graze points. I have to say, it's pretty good. Not UFO lunatic good, but still pretty good. heck, I tend to watch for grazing during most onscreen shootouts now.

This starter roughly after 3 months of playing touhou.

I figure it's just a coincidence.
