So here's a thing I made that people should try even if they've already voted:

The site presents some javascript code that loads up an english↔japanese dictionary of Touhou character names, as specifically listed on the poll, and then translates all the character names in the dropdowns on the page. You have to copypaste the code into your browser's console on the appropriate voting pages and run it because it's the best way I figured to do it for now.

Translating character names and music titles etc is something that's a dumb issue every year and probably over 80% of people already push the site through google translate, so I'd really like to see a better way of handling this. Additionally this should aid the compilation of results both here and on the wiki.

So far this is just a test of interest and efficacy. I'd like feedback on how this process could be made easier; ideally this should be as browser-independent as possible, which is why I opted to just let you copypaste the code and run it. Userscripts are an option, but I have the impression that a large portion of people would not take the extra steps to download a userscript manager. At this point I don't really know a better way to present this outside of contacting the site managers and getting a translator function in the site itself (which honestly isn't out of the realm of possibility either).

Also if it doesn't work or if something should be made clearer then just pile it on me.

EDIT: so I pasted it into the console tab, not sure where to go from there, I hit enter and get Undefined at the bottom. Pretty new to working with stuff like this so I know I'm doing something wrong. I should also say that I'm at the character voting screen when I do it.

It should return undefined, and afterwards the dropdowns should have translated names. But maybe I'll instead return a confirmation message on success because more than one person thought it was weird. I might also put some visual feedback on the page itself.

TIL the innerText property is not supported in Firefox because reasons, but is supported in Dev Edition (which I use), which is why people have reported it not working on FF despite me totally using FF.

Fixed; for everyone having that issue on FF, it should work now. It should technically be faster now as well.

Well the results are in. Reimu 1st, then Marisa, then Koishi. Kisume is the lowest windows game character, going from 94th to 106th. Most of my choices lowered except Kagerou, who was 46th and rose to 43rd.
