>Wait warmly.
>You wait and watch as Koakuma re-ascends the stepladder and busily inserts all the books into the top shelves. After about a minute, she finishes, and begins to come down.
>"Hey, what's that small pile of books over there?" she asks, noticing the books that you took from the shelves earlier, which are still sitting right where you left them, "Are those ones we missed?"

>"They were shelved crookedly, and they're about interesting stuff.  I'm gonna ask Patchouli if I can borrow them."
>"Oh, okay." replies Koakuma as she reaches the bottom of the ladder, "But I don't think you'll have much luck there, because ever since a certain magician dressed in black and white started stealing books from the library, Patchouli rarely loans books out to anyone anymore... Still, there's nothing stopping you from trying, I guess."
>She walks over to the pile of books and picks them up.
>"Would you like me to carry them for you while I take you to Patchouli? I see you have your hands full..." she adds, indicating Kaguya.

>"Yes, thank you."
>Follow
>You follow Koakuma through the aisles of shelves until you reach the same open area that you met Patchouli in before. The purple-haired magician is still at the desk, sipping tea and reading a different book than before.
>"Miss Patchouli, these two wanted to see you again." says Koakuma.
>Patchouli glances up from her book and looks in your direction.
>"Back so soon, are we? I thought you said you were leaving..."  says Patchouli, who pauses to cough a few times into her sleeve, "What happened to her?" she adds, noticing the still-unconscious Kaguya.

>"She got hit in the head.  No big deal."
>"Ah." Patchouli replies.

>"Patchouli, I want to ask you about these books.  Was someone reading them recently?"
>"What books?" she asks.
>"I think she means these, miss Patchouli." says Koakuma, indicating the books she's holding.
>"Alright. Well, bring them over here and let's take a look, shall we?" states Patchouli.

>Koakuma walks over to the magician and sets the stack down on the desk. Patchouli plucks the book off the top, one at a time, and briefly studies each one before setting them down.
>"Well, these books definitely haven't been read recently. The last time I loaned these out was years ago...." Patchouli began, before briefly coughing into her sleeve and picking up the book with the annotations, "but this one intrigues me." she turns to address Koakuma, "Didn't I tell you to remove any annotations from the books before you returned them to the shelves?"
>"Yes, you did." Koakuma replies.
>"Then why are there still annotations in this one?" asks Patchouli.
>"Um... I think the year that book was returned the day our mistress hosted that party several years ago. You know, that day where I wanted to enjoy the party so I sort of rushed things?" Koakuma answers.
>"Oh, yes, of course I remember that. That was the night I made you scour the library to fix your shelving mistakes." says Patchouli, "So I assume this was a book that you missed?"
>"Yeah, I think so." Koakuma replies.
>"We'll talk more about this later, Koakuma." says Patchouli with a serious tone, before turning to address you once more, "Anyway, there's your answer. Is that the only thing you came to ask me about?"

>"Borrow?" Patchouli scowled, "The only time I hear the words 'borrow' and 'book' in the same sentence anymore is when a certain thief comes by to steal my books..." she pauses for a moment, "But you don't look like the thieving type, so I'll lend them to you only if you promise to bring them back within three days." she coughs into her sleeve, "As for the containers, go ahead and take as many as you need. They're as useless to me now as that mercury I let you take earlier. I'll have Koakuma unlock the storeroom when you're ready."

>Do we have a backpack or something to carry this stuff in?
>You don't have a backpack, but you do have two somewhat deep pockets to carry your items. One of them is almost completely stuffed with the bottle of mercury. Eirin's list and your spell cards are nestled in the other one, which still has plenty of room.

>You enter the storage room.
>You spot several empty jars on the shelves, among the volatile substances. You also spot some empty vials on one of the higher shelves next to the same large bottle of yellowish liquid that Kaguya was looking at the last time you were here. The bottle is labeled "OIL OF VITRIOL" and appears to have been haphazardly placed on the shelf.

>You honestly have no idea what that stuff is, but considering the nature of the stuff in this room it could be hazardous. Kaguya should've been more careful!

>Drink it, VIT always stands for vitality so it must be a healing potion, we'll feel better in no time.
>You guzzle the whole jar and are immediately met with a very painful burning sensation in your throat. The sensation travels down your esophagus and into your internal organs, where it gradually begins to spread out.
>You promptly collapse to the floor and vomit a large quantity of blood. Your arms give out from under you and you lie motionless on the room floor as you feel your internal organs slowly dissolve and corrode away.

>Congratulations! You just drank a full jar of concentrated Sulphuric Acid, AKA Oil of Vitriol! Way to go!
>But don't worry, you'll revive in a few hours! And on the bright side, you've received a Darwin Award!

>DEATH COUNTER: 3 (9 deaths remaining.)

>Fix the vial's position as safely as possible
