We need to bring up Kanako, but in a way that Sanae takes ownership of what she would want. Maybe presenting a strawman, something like this

"Sanae. If Kanako were here, what do you think she would say? Something like 'you killed me, so just sit here alone forever and maybe get killed by Yukari' huh? Because that doesn't sound like Kanako to me."

That might be something. Problem is, it's also hella manipulative, and we've not had much luck with that nor do we want Yukari possibly overhearing it. I think we'll either have to go hard negative, and we can do that without manipulativeness, or we leave for now.

I don't like the idea of letting Sanae wallow in her misery here, but maybe we could bring Yuuka to her. Yuuka should have some insights on dreams and worlds ~~and outliving gods~~.

Reimu is also aware of Yuuka being... well, Yuuka. Ironically, considering the events of Sanae Quest Yuuka wouldn't actually be a bad choice for possibly talking to Sanae in some fashion, but Reimu has no knowledge of that. As for your earlier suggestion, we've already tried guilting her with Kanako and it had limited success. At this point there's nothing Reimu can do with Sanae without hurting her feelings or her cheek.

Sanae stopped by already, so Kikuri's already seen her. If Sanae went to hide in the forest then she likely wouldn't want to see Kikuri either.

... We could poke her about ideas for separating the two worlds, in particular about the drawing to see if she has any ideas, and we could ask what she knows about our childhood.
