> You throw the ring again and again.  Mako swims out every single time, bringing it back without fail no matter how far or fast you throw it.  What feels like a long while passes, and eventually Mako starts to lose interest.  Finally, she after she catches the ring one time, she doesn't bring it back to you but rather swims around with it.

> Mako swims around, tossing the ring for herself and catching it, although the action seems half-hearted.  She eventually lets the ring sink to the bottom of the pool and settles for floating in lazy circles in the water.

> You follow the sweet scent into the kitchen.  Satori is there, making pancakes at the stove.  There's already a modest plate of them sitting on the counter next to her, and she has gotten out the syrup, butter, and a bowl of strawberries.  Besides the two of you, you feel a presence in the room that you can't quite put your finger on.
> "Mako's energetic, isn't she?" Satori asks when you come in.

> "Not really.  I feel like she'd be happier on the surface, but..."  Satori flips the pancake over with a spatula.  "...After this incident ends, would there even be anywhere for her?"

> "Hmm, that doesn't sound so bad."  Satori turns off the stove and slides the last pancake onto the plate.  She moves the plate and other toppings to the counter you're sitting at, and then starts setting the table.  Even though it's just the two of you, she sets out three plates.

> Just as you're asking who the third plate is for, you see Koishi reach across the table and steal a strawberry.

> Koishi tries to catch the strawberry, but it fumbles out of her hands and onto the counter.
> "It was great!" she says.  "I'm gonna go there today, too."
> "Don't leave just yet, I'll pack a lunch for you," Satori says.
> "No thanks.  There's food at Flan's place."
> "Oh, I see..."

> "Leave some for us," Satori chides, and gently bonks her on the head with her fist.
