Fast forward to year 2097. Super Spacemouse and Neo-Nazrin the IIIrd, the main characters of the freshly-arrived Touhou 179 - Motionless Stars, are assigned to investigate the Yggrasil, a mysterious Death Star-looking object that appeared in the sky, just above the Strongest Mountain. After defeating a horde of relentless newcomers, you finally face the Stage 5 boss : Mecha-Reisen, compelling you to turn around for the truth is too hard to handle for everyone. Of course, your common sense is stronger, and after you beat the crap out of her, you enter Stage 6. Surprisingly, the mid-boss of this stage is none other than Yukari herself. She quickly stops attacking you, considering that if you came this far, you also deserve to know what lies behind the final door of this fortress, a truth unknown to all, even to her. She then leaves, wondering whether you will manage to catch up with her. You finally find the center room of the Yggdrasil. Yukari is seen on her knees before what appears to be a giant screen, her face looking even more shocked than when she saw who was main villain in Touhou 49.5 - Catch the Will. On the screen, a single multiple-colored word could be seen...
