He wouldn't like it because it lacks juggling, which a lot of fighting games have in competitive play. Well, there's juggling, it's just that evading the constant gravitational pull is a possibility.

If by fanservice you mean the usual deal with female characters for appealing to the male demographic,  there would be millions of people in an outrage over a controversial religious figure.

The main problem is that Byakuren is too religiously-related to make any sense or appeal in a Smash game, especially one intended to be ported to the United States in the future, whom of which has a very annoying history of intolerant toads taking up the population. Sure, you can localize her and censor the religion, but then you've just got a weird purple-haired lady in a coat throwing magic at people until it kills them. There's no MEANING or BACKSTORY unless you want Nintendo to lose even more money because people refused to buy a game because of a non-Christ religious figure involved. Maybe I'm having too little faith in the consumers within my country, but I'd rather not take my chances when nobody was daring enough to do the same before and expect good sales even after critical acclaim.
