I'm not terribly active but every so often I post stuff on deviantart. Here's something I wrote a while back.

"Greenwich in the Sky"

"The ones who go there and come back, they change;"
The old man said; "And there's a reason why
All the ones who come back, come back strange -
The ones who go to Greenwich in the Sky."
"I've seen it too on comrades in the war,
That furtive watchful distance in the eye.
They laugh in mountain meadows green no more,
The ones come back from Greenwich in the Sky."
"In olden days, by force of priestly will,
There the lurking ones were sealed away,
Where history is locked and frozen still.
Intrude there not, and heed the words I say."
Yet nonetheless, as even he appealed,
From our mission we refused to stray.
We dared; and in a certain misty field
We breached the borderline of Hakurei.
She lured us in with lanthorn-lighted things;
Into the marsh, the temptress Firefly;
Upon a hundred thousand beating wings,
Our greeting into Greenwich in the Sky
Was one of wrath and venom-bearing swarm.
I can still hear every shrieking cry.
We were tricked, encircled into harm
By the lunatic Inaba eye.
Then poltergeists played hymns by faerie-fire;
To this timbre all but madness fled;
And Night-sparrow led the hungry choir,
The youkai host's black litany of dread.
The shadows trickled 'round us like a shell,
Mad laughter mocked us and our pistols' lead;
Those of us who could, we ran like hell.
Accursed fey upon the fallen fed.
So headlong through the screaming bloody night
Alone I came upon the crimson hall.
I crept along without a spark of light.
Footsteps creaked amidst the blackened pall!
About my throat, a serpentary hiss...
As in a dream I saw my body fall.
I was captured by a devil's kiss;
Chained evermore, my fate is in her thrall.
I fear, a record I can scarce compile;
I've seen such things, the half I dare not say.
I found the long-forgotten Luna Dial,
And plumbed the arcane secrets of Voile,
I tasted the forbidden Hourai phial...
But I must continue this another day.
I have naught but just a little while,
The Lady calls me, and I must obey.
So now, to spare the wanderer this fate,
I pen these words to whom it may concern:
Bind fast the iron trollbane 'round your gate.
Watch your young ones close. Dark whispers spurn.
On the night of Samhain, stay inside,
And on Walpurgis, all your candles burn.
In Greenwich in the Sky I will abide;
I've seen too much, and I shall not return.

This is probably not the true story of how Sakuya came to the SDM, but it's still a nice tale.

[Baroque]

I decided to write some haiku just now, and once I was done I decided to share it. A haiku journey in reverse through Embodiment of Scarlet Devil.

One is the caster,
Three clones wheel and rain fire,
All four of a kind.

Shots fly fast and strong,
The scarlet devil is here.
Hark, Spear the Gungnir.

Swirling patterns,
Glint in the red night,
Jack the Ludo Bile.

Embers drift slowly,
Picking up speed as they fall,
Fire Sign "Agni Shine".

Brilliant color,
A body flies freely by,
She is Hong Meiling.

Cold soars on chill wings,
Fires icy shots far and wide,
Icicle Fall is easy.

All-consuming dark,
Pinpoints and lines arc through it,
Hail demarcation.

I have a history of messing up my syllables, so if there's any askew in my 5-7-5 format, please let me know.
