Quick music question.
« on: October 04, 2009, 07:21:37 PM »
Can somebody tell me what ZUN uses as his instruments?

As in, PCB through SA.

All I know is that my keyboard's trumpets sound nothing like his. :C

Nobody knowwwwws.

2ch is still trying to figure them all out. Although, the trumpet he usually uses is Romantic Tp and his UFO guitar is Virtual Guitarist2, for sure. We're still playing and randomly guessing.

That trumpet is what I've been searching all over for. Where can I find the stupid thing?

I'm surprised nobody knows, tbh. I figured everybody knew but me.

He also uses standard piano, pipe and church organ, the occasional bell, rock guitar, acoustic guitar, synthesised vocals and generic synthesiser sounds that aren't easily classified.

I might have an answer for you  :o

I was looking around on nico and found a video on how to make the synths ZUN uses (or, at least, I think that's what it is. I can't read Japanese. so T.T)

Unfortunately, it seems it requires a $800 SD-90.

Sorry. I'm a total n00b at this.
But do I actually need hardware and physical synthesizers to use Zunstruments? Or can it be done via software like with FL Studio? Anyone have info on what can be done?

This is still confusing. I've seen all his videos before before and etc but eh, the language barrier is making it so difficult to figure things out. I'm emailing him.

I'll be watching for a YouTube version of this... A couple of my old high school friends would appreciate it, seeing as they feel that the instruments in MIDI aren't helpful enough. Thanks for the post~

One particular Nico comment early in the video that stood out for me had, mixed in amongst the moonspeak, the filename "RolandSC-55.sf". I would assume that using that soundfont might do the trick.

I found one site that has a soundfont with the exact filename for download but I can't seem to download anything off the site. Back to Google...
