Master Spark is one of the few songs I can consistently remember the tune to and sing (Yes, sing <.< It's basically humming, just with gibberish words that sound vaguely Japanese but I'm relatively sure aren't...) and then I'll off and on remember the tune from other Touhou songs as well. Maid and the Pocket Watch of Blood, Riverside View, Doll Judgement, Casket of Star...

A sorrow my first attempt, an old broken umbrella, couldn't be repaired and thus couldn't have canvas attached to it. Instead, i'm going to buy a purple umbrella and sew the neccesary decor to it~

I just realized that I know Casket of Star by heart. The whole thing. I'm pretty sure that hasn't happened with ANY other song, even Love-Colored Master Spark only has a small part I can consistently remember.

I ALWAYS have some Touhou theme going in my head. Also it reacts to my mood, and when I'm feeling different, the song inside my head changes too, to fit to my new mood.
Of course, I know a lot of themes. My mind is very sensitive to music, and I can remember more songs that I can put on my mp3 player.

Same. After listening to the piano remixes, though, just because those piano players can't do stacattos, they remind you of Yukari's IaMP/SWR theme.
But of course, I usually have a theme different from yesterday's theme in my head from Touhou everyday. One day, when I discovered Nue, it was her theme. Later, it was a certain Youkai Jesus theme.

I can't go through a single day without vocally imitating the sound of several Touhou music. Even I believe that I pretty much got ZUN's synth trumpet sound spot-on.

Hmm, I can't really explain it that well myself. I can't whistle, though, so no air blowing is involved.
Basically, you have to hold 'mmmmmmmmmmmmm' while adding vibrations on your throat for the 'buzz' of the trumpet. If that doesn't make sense, I couldn't really explain how I do it either. :-\
Also, by what I mean getting the sound spot-on, I was referring to the lower octaves since I can't really imitate the high trumpet notes at the beginning of Wind God Girl all that well.

Are you sure? It's based off of her dialogue in SA, so koishi mode is really simple. Happy with occasional moments of disappointment, personable/friendly, and (to me) she appears a bit simple minded (well, she is the younger sister). Also, she's polite.
A lot of people in real life inadvertently act a lot like koishi. You may identify them as the friendlier, fun loving (but not in the sex, drinks, and drugs way) people. :|
But if you don't mind people like that, eh, i guess it would work out, but you see, it's a front i use. It's not the real Toast.

and whenever a song ends, i know which song will come next in the album, and what its intro sounds like before winamp moves on to the next song.
at least i can do this with most sekken-ya, cool&create and innocent key albums :P

I live in Hawaii. Why this matters is the way standard license plates are on the cars: they're typically three letters, a space, then three numbers (or the reverse; either way it's "AAA ###" or "### AAA", with the "BUS" letter combination being reserved for busses only, interestingly enough).
Some of you may already see where this is going, but as I was going past the bank today I noticed a car whose letter combination was "PCB" (don't remember the number combination that followed, unfortunately). No guesses necessary as to what flashed in my mind besides the tune of 'Diao ze Yong'.
I've also seen in the past month a car with the "666" number combination and had 'Septette for the Dead Princess' playing in my mind the rest of the excursion.

You know you're adicted to touhou when you go outside and successfully make Water Danmaku while raving with a bamboo staff by using a puddle for a power source. (Not by assaulting the puddle, either, but by collecting water with the length of the staff, and spinning it with lethal force so the water is sent flying with centrifugal force.)

I think I introduced someone to Touhou today. The same guy that had that Patchouli motivational poster asked me if I could give him all of my wallpapers (Which on my laptop, only consists of Rumia, Remi, the phantom trio, and Okuu.). I gave them to him and told him to check Touhou out when he had the chance. I have been waiting for this moment for nearly a year now.
Also, the sound of my knuckles popping reminds me of the ticking sound when you collect point items.

I stopped being addicted to Touhou chars a while ago. But I'm still addicted to the idea behind the Touhou universe. Simply, instead of making a fun, balanced-ish universe by nerfing people, why not simply make everyone overpowered?
I do still name my chars in video games after Touhous usually.
I imagine what Rumia would be like if she could wield 3 pairs of drumsticks tied by a 2-3m length string, with 2 or more Chinese yo-yos designed to sound like guitar and bass when used correctly, and then pull drum surfaces out of nowhere.
Can Reisen snipe golf balls out of the air? Consecutively? Could she use a mirage on her vision so she could fire two sniper rifles at once accurately?
If a golf ball was about to fall out of bounds, could Tenshi run, use a rock to jump a few meters in the air, spin on the rock, and then hit the golf ball with a sword while spinning?
If Nitori were to summon a whirlpool, or Aya a tornado, how could other characters manage to direct a golf ball to the green?
If Suika jumped up to the moon, then shot back down as a giant, could she lift a golf ball (and everything else not tethered to the ground) a few dozen meters in the air, and then punch it to the green?
...yes, I think about Touhou Golf a lot.

On a serious note, Cirnite is pretty much impossible to create in real life, creating a ring out of O's like that is pretty much impossible, not to mention 3 positive charges on O's. I believe the C's in 9 shape can be done with a simple 5 ring and add a curved tail through double bonds, but it's gonna be 3 dimensional.

Keep in mind, I wasn't referring to Excel from Excel Saga; I was referring to Excel from Kurokami, which is a totally different character from a totally different anime. Basically, if there ever was a Touhou anime that got dubbed into English, I'd be really disappointed if Stephanie Sheh wasn't Youmu is what I'm saying.
With that said, you know what else is a sign that you're addicted to Touhou? When a good portion of your bookmarks are for websites dedicated to Touhou.

So I was drawing something for Art Class. I was drawing a random chibi on my table because I was bored...it came out as Byakuren. Anyway, I decided to include it on my big drawing because it was cute. The teacher looks at it and he said that maybe he'll give me a A on this trimester. He quickly erases a B that was on that same spot 5 seconds earlier.
Conclusion: Byakuren saved my art grade. :P

Last night I took one of those firework fountains that you can hold in your hand, lit it and yelled 'Master Spark'.
After that I discussed how to effectively defeat a battery firework by grazing or bombing with a friend.
We concluded that he should switch players by focussing like in IN and let his girlfriend take the hits :V
Also, I got grazed by some glowing bullet firework out of nowhere. Got a nasty burn on my jacket now :-\

I made a Classic Reimu in Drawn to Life as a second hero (main hero is a golden, gem studded knight).

I've completely figured out Kingdom Touhearts and Yuyuko Super Star Ultra....... (and regarding Haruhi I figured out Maruhi & Luyon: Boyuki's Inside Story)
And lastly I think Yukari has a family. This family consists of Fancy Mel and Guu as her sisters, Xigbar, Dimentio and Giegue/Giygas as her brothers and Ulyaoth as her dad. Haruhi and minus are her nieces. Giratina and Lavos are her former pets. Regarding her mom, let's just say Ulyaoth really get's around....

Also, you guys are pretty good at Touhou naming in Disgaea, but here's some more ideas.
Reimu and Sanae = Ronins (Look at her. LOOK AT HER.)
Just about any regular magician in Gensokyo, Koishi, and Flandre = Star Mages (Mega Star was what I can imagine being Flan's blowing up ability, and Koishi is pretty neutral.)
Remilia = Hero Female (Blue hair and A rank spear expertise. You can't resist.)
Chen and Orin = Nekomatas (Actually, the female martial artist reminds me of Orin...)
Youmu = Warrior or Ronin
And building on what you reccomended...
Mokou should have fire spells, but she'd be better as a Spellknight or Ronin.
Patchy could also be a Galaxy Mage, but Satori is definitely one.
Kaguya also looks like a healer, but she'd need Galaxy Mage first, I suppose...
Letty can also be an ice mage.

Well, for my economics homework I had to make some calculations, same as usual.
So there's this one question which I had to solve by calculating the price percentage rise. The calculation was (0.50 x 300) : 100. The answer that came out? 9,090909090909 and continuing into infinity. Yeah.
After writing it down, I did the obvious: I drew a chibi Cirno beside it.
Afterwards, in the next calculation, the final answer was 6,9
........
I drew chibi Okuu and Cirno reaching out to each other for a hug beside it.

While I was lying awake in bed, I started pondering this idea for a game or w/e about this weird guy in the Outside World named Toast who has a youkai-like ability to see through illusions that would normally fool humans because he's Yukari's son, and she did a similar thing in IN with keine, and he runs into a Satori, and the romance plot kicks off from there.
Either i'm suspicious/paranoid, or you came up with this independently.
Anyways, i'm trying to learn base 9, because it's the strongest counting system. It's way harder than hex....and probably really simple once you stop overthinking things like a (9).

I agree, As a kid I never liked music with lyrics, and I struggle to pick up words from english songs anyway for some reason. So not knowing the lyrics of Touhou mixes doesnt bother me that much. Still like to see subs of them at least once though, to get the jist of it lol.

So I got a laptop last week, and as of today, I've gotten two of my friends addicted to Touhou, and a lot of onlookers during lunch. It's fun to hear their reactions. So now, no one minds that I don't let them use my laptop to use the internet.
In addition, about a month ago, our school had some play which was called Cirno. I had nothing to do with it. It makes me jealous that I'm a music major rather than a drama major, because I couldn't see it, but at least I can play my favorite Touhou themes on Piano and Clarinet (And soon guitar.)
And in French, there's often a girl in the textbooks called Aya. She's asking for a camera in one scenario.
Plus, I now have a Rumia cosplay. I have to make a Cirno cosplay for my strongest con. I was thinking of trying to cosplay all the characters in EoSD, but I realized I could never pull off Hong Meiling. I can pull off Remilia and Patchouli easily enough, but...

Two(hou) things recently for me.
1) is going out with some mates to a pub i didnt like in the first place, bored I start to notice various hairstyles that resemble different touhou characters, then one of the bar staff walks past with two banded strands of hair, like twin tails but so far out and forward that.... Because of Ohayocon, I now have a Sanae plush, pictures of a Mokou, Yuka, Sara, and China, and knowledge of how horrible I am at UNL.

In Zelda Spirit Tracks there is a little village at the sea completely inhabited by women. The reason for this is because the men of the village didn't listen to the (female) fortuneteller of the village, and went fishing even though she predicted that something awful will happen if they did. Looks like she got last laugh, since all the men got kidnapped by pirates during fishing. So now the village is all female.
This got me thinking. During the Lunar Invasion, lead by Yukari to teach the youkai a lesson, did Yukari infact send all the male youkai to the war, and thus they're inevitable doom? Perhaps the males were seeking global conquest and power, and Yukari got sick of it, so she send them to a place where they'll either ger slaughtered or captured for all eternity. Thus, there are almost no male youkai left in Gensokyo, with the remaining youkai almost all being (relatively) young females.
An interesting notion, no?

So yeah, in Spirit Tracks I asked that fortune teller I mentioned in my last post what my fortune was. After asking you to tell your gender, eye color and star sign in the DS microphone she tells you a obscure fortune that most of the time doesn't have much to do with your quest and is only for comedic purposes (with the exception of one time). After that she tells you what you need for the day. She'll normaly tell you you need to have one of the aspects of the Triforce ('For today you need courage/wisdom/power!'). But this time she said something a little different:

...yeaaaahhh....you can guess what I was thinking of at that moment...

Xanadu means 'paradise', and that is what the divine female characters tries to bring forth (figuratively ofcourse). It doesn't have much to do with yamas, being only about dancing, 80's music, music videos, big lipped aligator moments and the Greek Gods.

Today I spent 6 hours non-stop grinding, sanding and polishing at my shop. My Ipod blasted every touhou song I could fit in there, (Official and non-official [Mostly Innocent Key, RedAlice, COOL&CREATE, and Silver Forest) at nearly max volume to cancel the sound of the buffing wheel and surrounding shop noises.
Now I have a huge batch of a customers parts shiny as a diamond and I enjoyed doing it singing along to COOL&CREATE's Locked Girl.

So today I finally passed my personal challenge. What challenge you ask? Get through my 8AM course without thinking about Touhou at any point during the class. Only took about 6 weeks :V
Of course, it doesn't help that there's someone in the class named Takuya, and I failed several times because someone I know said "Touhou," plus I usually show up to class with a Touhou song of some sort stuck in my head. Not today though! Today was exam day, so no random distractions.

Yes, she does. This is my idea of it, and well, there is a doujin somewhere that did this stint. Her other more noteworthy food source could be to absorb directly from her flowers the foodsource which they photosynthesize, or perhaps she herself roots to the ground and absorb the rich earthen nutrients derived from rich soil.

@KimikoMuffin: Yeah, most of the questions were pretty stupid in hind sight... though the Flandre & Remilia and the Suwako & Pyonta one were rather jokes than real questions. There were interesing and amusing to theorise over none the less. Touhou Tag Dream did have a joke about Nazrin's mouse-like appetite though, where Nazrin had indeed eaten Shizuha and Minoriko's entire food storage, and afterwards shrugging it off as if it were nothing (despite having quite a swollen belly).
@Shikimeria Alstroxanadu: Good to see not all of my theories were nonsense. These added characteristics and abilities made her even more awesome now 8) She never seizes to amaze me. For some reason, Princess Rosalina from Super Mario Galaxy reminds me of Yukari. To me they look awfully alike.

These resemblances have lead me to think that Gensokyo is the antithesis to Mushroom Kingdom, with Yukari and Rosalina parts of one entity, with Rosalina being Order and Yukari Chaos. They both have their own red-clad hero to function as a savior and guardian: Mario and Reimu.
Now that I think about it, a battle between Mario and Reimu would be insanely epic. :V (assuming they both use their serious, badass personas as depicted in their fandoms)

I made a funny little discovery just know (don't know here to post it else. This thread seemed the most fitting).
Everyone here probably knows about the Old Maid Alliance, a fan name given to the team Yukari, Eirin, Kanako, Byakuren and Yuyuko make, the oldest characters in the contuinity.
What was this funny little discovery? Thanks to a Danbooru comment I realised that shortening the Old Maids Alliance's name to it's initials gives you OMA.
Oma means 'grandma' in Dutch.
Oh, the delicious, sweet irony. I love coincidences like this. It's just like how 'lol' also coincidently means 'fun' in Dutch. Wonderful.

When one of the first things that you say in the new Borderlands DLC...

I've been playing a surplus of games with super powered girls it seems, yet I only noticed it after getting into the Touhou series oddly enough.

Why not U.N. Owen Was Her and Dancing Mad? Seems more fitting to me, regarding the characters at least. One Winged Angel seems reserved for the likes of Yukari or Yuyuko. Or Tenshi perhaps. No wait, Chen, regarding her oedipus comple- *shot*
