I just got linked to a HG simulator, so why not make use of the touhou labyrinth screenies while at it?

Heh, this seems like fun.
What district does Meiling belong to? :O I don't see her in the roster but she's involved in the bloodbath (or rather, running away from it)
Was she some poor sap that got thrown into the games despite not being chosen? That'd fit her luck, I suppose.
Oh, wait, the roster pic cut off the final four districts for some reason.
Sanae gutting Reimu with a tree branch (a gohei!) seems fitting.

Same district doesn't mean same team. They have to kill each other just as much as they have to kill everyone else.
Weird, whenever I do this there's a lot less running and a lot more pushing people off cliffs.

Kasen breaks Ran's nose for a basket of bread.
Ran was flying back with her prize to Lady Yukari. It wasn't anything fancy, just a basket of plain bread, but everything was valuable in current circumstances. Her journey was interrupted, however, when a hermit stepped into her way.
"I apologize in advance, but I have no choice." The words were followed by a flying kick. The fox dodged it without trouble by lunging back. However, the hermit followed up with a punch. Ran already managed to put enough distance between them, so the punch couldn't connect. At that moment, the bandages on hermit's arm unfurled, revealing that nothing was behind them. Before Ran could react, the hermit's arm reformed right in front of her face, delivering a blow powerful enough to knock her some distance away right into the ground.
Ran managed to raise herself a bit just in time to see the arm, holding the basket she released from the shock, reattach to its owner. The fox felt the blood gushing down her now-aching face, and it wasn't because of something pleasant this time. The punch felt stronger than what a human or even a hermit is capable of. It was more on the level of a? an oni.
"What was that for, you lunatic?!" Ran shouted, wiping her face.
"I'm sorry, but I have my reasons. I have to win here. At any cost." With these words, the hermit turned away and took off.

It doesn't, but generally most participants have at least some loyalty to their districts (since winning brings that district fame and prosperity), thus they'd share that goal at least, and most mentorship systems would have had them train and prepare for the games together.
It would take either an odd set of circumstances for this to not be the case with Reimu and Sanae. To fight and try to kill each other at the very beginning (instead of when things are down to the final candidates) seems quite... unique. Alternatively, as I've alluded to with my "I wonder what their training sessions were like", maybe they just really really personally hate each other, district loyalty be damned.

Welp, I got stuff like "Eirin tries to do something about her infection" (afterwords I got it with Reisen) or "Kaguya begs Eirin to kill her". Also, Yuyuko killed Yukari. Sad.

So I did 48 tributes Hunger Games. Some intresting events:
"Futo, Lyrica, Suika and Merlin form a suicide pact, killing themselves"

I fought she's your sister! I'm disappointed, Koishi.
"Mokou and Lunasa threaten a double suicide. It fails and they die."
But... If they died... Isn't it a success...?
Cirno went on a killing rampage and killed 6 tributes, but Reisen won. Huh. Parsee also had 6 kills.

I guess they didn't intend to actually kill themselves, so it is a failure in a way, but yeah, it does sound wrong.
