That's no sailor suit, that's her outfit from HRtP~
In Kaoru's original portrait, she was holding 2 blades.

I'm planning to make Mima playable on all games starting from Touhou 6 (Shooting Games, ofc)
I've already started working on TD Mima, sprites and faces done.
Shot B dialogue for DDC Mima will be worked on after Nmlgc and the others work on a patcher problem.

I'm almost done with the DDC Mima, Shot B dialogue left.
Also, there's a problem with thcrap that will be fixed in the latest build.
After downloading the latest build (which will not be released yet, but soon), you can now see Mima's dialogue!

Again, to use the mod, select your language first in the config (ex: lang_en), then "mima"

So, I've played the A route now and it looks really nice.
No crashes, no cutoffs (I suppose. I finally got around to properly updating my patcher only after this so I've played with the too large text but it looked like everything would fit with the new font size).

Buuut, there are no blue flames. D: I was so excited about these +5 damage to light units

I also like the Mima-Hijack loading screen.

Okay, Shot A Stage 1 - 3 dialogue fixed.
They can be readable now.
The problem is, whenever I use my dialogue for Stage 4 - 6, the game crashes.
So the only available dialogue for now is Stage 1 - 3 Shot A


EDIT: All dialogue for Shot A now readable!

Did you apply the English Patch and the Mima Patch?
(Choose "lang_en", then "mima". It has to be in this order.)

Ran Yakumo didn't edit the description background, but used another one/edited above it.

(Yes, I did it for Yuuka, but I lost the template over the months, unfortunately. And I can't edit it perfectly anymore ;w;)

A friend edited the background. The difference isn't that obvious, but for perfectionists, it's really obvious.
I did the gradient, that's why it isn't good.

Oh, from your answer earlier I thought you already chose them. :V

Since there's no need for portraits for the partners you can go wild with them.

For A i had either

- Chiyuri: She had the angled lasers in PoDD, motivation is that Yumemi scanned a power source in the underground and sent her to go along with Mima.

- or Kurumi: She'd go well with the weirdly angled shots as well, don't have a proper motivation for her yet.

but I'd say that Chiyuri is the better choice.


B could be

- PC-98 Alice: She already used doll formations in MS stage 3 or elements in the ex stage, so that's flexible. Why would she go? Same reason as current Alice, really. And she wants to annoy Mima for beating her up back then. :V

(- 5 Magic stones: lel)

I honestly am not really pleased with my choices for B


and for C I have

- Marisa: Missiles are obvious and she already used the Oreo's Orrerie's suns as a shield. Motivation is obvious as well. Mima goes, Marisa tags along wanted or not.

- Yumeko: Exploding swords, why not. The shield is explained via her distorting space (It's a fan theorie that she can do that, which is based on the distortions she causes to the background and her phasing out of combat and it goes nicely with Sakuya's time manipulation). Why does she go with Mima? Shinki sends her out on a journey to learn of the ways of the world. (I'll come up with something :V)

- or Rika. Tanks, Missiles whatever goes. She's an engineer like Nitori, so a shield is no problem for her as well. Motivation? She can create ghosts but now there's something weird with the evil spirits and she's worried. Or she is interested in what's causing the geysers to erupt and if it can be used as a source of energy for advanced machinery tanks. More tanks.


Oh, and while I'm at it: For IN I had thought of Yuuka as a partner.
Mima is the fast unfocused one, Yuuka is focus mode.

Well, you can create different shortcuts using thcrap.
Thcrap doesn't really modify original game data, but "stacks on" edited files, thus "patch stacking", btw.

Since the EoSD mod will run with a modified .dat file and not via the patcher it won't be usable together with the re-texture patch.
(and even if it were with the patcher, there'd be conflicts I imagine)

Yep.
I used the main English Patch ( v0.8 ) for the patches since I don't have the retexture patch.
Although I CAN make a separate patch using the retexture patch as a base.

But that's not really important, right?

Played every completed one so far! I must say it definitely adds more entertainment to the games this way. First your mods on the main games, then Riverbed Soul Saver comes out and THAT is awesome. I don't even know right now which ones already have the dialogue implemented to be honest. :V
PCB, MoF, SA and parts of UFO should be the only ones missing.

There's also a project to to the same mods just with Yuuka starting. ("starting" in a way.)
(No, I didn't have a hand in that. No people were coaxed into making Yuuka mods.)

I was actually wondering about Subterranean Animism. Will you guys/gals/whatevers be altering the Satori fight? Due to Mima and PC 98 characters, it'd sorta make sense as she bases her spells off the partner you have.

Also, we have to make sure that Satori's the only one who uses the water bullets.
I can change it, but then again, what if the other bosses'll use it?

So Satori's spells are now modified and renamed.
Except for Mima-Chiyuri all spells look different. (was not necessary in that case)

Mima-Chiyuri (only got renames)

Spellcards 83 to 86

Recollection "Spring Kyoto Dolls"
-> vague Recollection "Sailor of Time"

Chiyuri used bursts of bullets that formed vague circles.
What is Satori thinking with this? It looks not much like the original.
Well, to be fair she is being toyed around with by Mima so give her a break.



Spellcards 87 to 90

Recollection "Straw Doll Kamikaze"
-> Recollection "Heat-seeking Device"

An upgraded version of Chiyuri's charge attack. The homing and speed both were improved.
The streams of bullets are supposed to be lead by some device of hers
but Satori doesn't have such things at hand.
Just how does Satori convince these fairies to perform in her spellcards?



Spellcards 91 to 94

Recollection "Return Inanimateness"
-> vague Recollection "Dream Clock"

Another Spellcard that looks not much like when you use it as the player.
Especially since it's even just a low-quality copy by Satori.
It stops resembling a sort of clock from Hard onwards...
She's actually quite capable in recreating Spellcards but those are such old memories
and the inside of Mima's mind is scary. ~

It probably came about in a training session with her master
but she didn't feel like using it.
It's after all not really Marisa-like with all these familiars and intricate angles.

Since this is from the time when Marisa just became Mima's understudent
it really originated from her mind.
Because of that it is actually a rather accurate copy.
Wouldn't Satori regret diving too deep into Mima's twisted mind?

It is a simple attack that just rains stars from the heavens.
Fitting for the simpler times it came from.
Starry Sky "Shooting Stars". Marisa likes giving spells fancy names.



Spell Cards 115 to 118

Recollection "Trauma in the Glimmering Depths"
-> Recollection "Asteroid Belt - Prototype -"

With Marisa constantly keeping up with her magic this is a rather fresh memory,
making it - once again - quite accurate.

Making the stars weave like that is quite mean.
Good thing Marisa is so straightforward and changed it to straight rows. ~

Okay, this is a bit, well, unexpected.

First off, I'm still working on the mod.
As I've posted on my blog, school has started, and we're already being bombarded with schoolwork.
I'm not working on my mod with the usual pace I had before.

Second, updates on the mod might come slow.
Even though I haven't posted on my blog or here, I'm still updating the mod!
So just continue playing the mod, and let the updates be downloaded via the auto-updater thcrap has~

Third, after I finish my Mima mod, I have a couple of mods to work on.
This includes my old mods not on thcrap.
I'll be porting and modifying them!

Although BurntToast12 will work on the Yuuka mod on SA downwards, and I'll work on the Yuuka mod UFO until the latest game!

Anyway, see you guys!

Stories for MoF, SA, UFO are done
and already implemented in UFO, though (as randomly fitting as they sometimes are) the portraits are not yet adjusted there.
UFO is also already available on ThCrap.

About the old mods:
Those will not only be put up on ThCrap and receive some polishing but also get individual stories for the Mystia, Kourin and Yuyuko ones in TD of which Mystia's and Kourin's are done.
