Title: Sound Effects not working on all games?

Really weird thing, all of the sudden the SFX aren't working correctly on all the touhou games I have. I even re-installed them so I'm not sure what else to do and googling doesn't help me.  The actual BGM is fine and it makes some of the noises like when I die, but not bullet noises, menu select noises etc. Does anyone have an idea what to do? I've also deleted the .cfg files too and to no avail. I guess it's something with my comp and not the games.
