It came with a plushie and it was $20 (my trade-ins knocked off half the cost). I also vaguely recall hearing about how it was pretty good or something like that.
Should I have played the first one before buying this, or does it not matter?
-
I don't know but screw you I saw that game for $23 and I had no money with me at the time
Parents wouldn't lend my money even though they owe me like $70 >_>...
I don't think it matters does it? Not too sure about the Devil Summoner one.

If you have completed DS1 save file, you can use it in DS2 and unlock some demons earlier than intended. I just plain bought DS2 out of curiosity without ever playing DS1, but it's not a big deal if you missed the first game.
-
Yea you will be fine, and the plush is awesome.
-
Bought it for the plush, will probably never play the game.
-
More like Devil Summoner 4. I refuse to play this game because Atlus pulled 90s-era Final Fantasy bullshit and renamed it.
-
I also bought it with the plushie.
It's a pretty cool game, but god damn, I've been playing for 6 hours and still havn't gotten out ofthe first "Chapter".
I've made the Raiho plushie my mascot.

I named the guy Capitan Awesome.
-
Also it seems p.good so far, I'm only a few hours into it though.
-
I named the guy Capitan Awesome.
I named him Hero McHat.
-
I restarted the game and named him Roland McConnel
But I'm going to start ANOTHER new game and rename him again, I do this alot

As nice as DS2 is, I prefered the old system of getting demons. You know, bashing them on the head then shoving them into a small metal tube. A lot cheaper that way.
Also, WHERE'S MY DAMN SODA?!?!?
