So, the anime club at my university has finally started up and I had a fun idea. I don't go so much for the anime as I do for the people, (of which there still seems to be only one Touhou Fan) but I end up drawing a lot so I thought why not capitalize on that. I've decided to start drawing at this club for the semester, and see if I improve at all. Twice a week is not a very strict regiment but maybe it will work out.
So,
8/30Also, they only have chalk boards... fantastic, I will conquer this medium.
I guess the That guy will be my starting point. I think I can do better but lets say that's how good I am now.
Maybe someone can comment on the Yuri picture. I was told redrawing stuff like that is a valid way of learning how to draw. On one hand I feel like crap because I don't want to misrepresent the quality of my work, on the other, it's not like it's easy either. I don't think I want to draw like that, referencing a picture and maybe taking part of it is fine, but not the whole thing.
Also what's up with pixel art? Well, I've been getting busy with other things but I am working on
this (use the mouse and mouse wheel). I guess it's a game engine. I could potentially make the necessary sprites and build stuff but I don't really want to right now. I think I will when I can actually move a character around, just because that's the vision that's still in my head. However, I have no idea when that will be.
