Well for already completed music, I'll throw in

Night falls ~ Evening Star
http://www.4shared.com/audio/l1_mtgMG/Evening_Star.html

Suwa Foughten Field
http://www.4shared.com/audio/OlnQTktM/Ancient_Venerable_Battlefield.html

I apologize about the relatively low volume on the latter =p Dont worry, im gonna go back and increase it for the final cut.

As for me, I got enough songs to fill an entire album now... i really cant choose which not to include.
Fleeting Eternity beyond the Azure Sky ~ Life of Rose (http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4176466/rose.MP3) < my newest work.
Pandora's Triumph ~ Fall of the Maidens (http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4176466/pandoramix.MP3) <definitely this one
Victim of Hatake ~ Endlessly Running (http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4176466/luna.MP3) <not touhou-related but i'd like to have it put on the cd
Imha Yolu ~ Cold Vengeance (http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4176466/final.MP3) <Flamezero will arrange this one
below this are songs im unsure about
Rolling Apples (http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4176466/stage1.MP3) <too happy?
Dream Land (http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4176466/dream%20land.mp3) <not sure about this one... it might be a little too boring.
Destructive Prescription ~ Genetic Wasteland (http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4176466/okuu.MP3) <not sure about this either.
Descending into a Dark Dream ~ Illusion of Despair (http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4176466/beat4.MP3) <too generic?
Tengu Club ~ Danmaku Viewing Trip (http://dl.dropbox.com/u/4176466/title.MP3) <will be hard to fit in with the other songs., but we'll see.

NOTE: if you think a song could be included with afew edits, say it out loud.
I will loop Tengu Club so it doesnt end abruptly.

Out of what I've already made, my arranges of Infinite (http://www.mediafire.com/?6bz1au6z3a4gmcp) Nightmare (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=shXkvMuZ1WE) and Loose (http://www.mediafire.com/?2hy71gx86d1t5ee) Rain (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Y6CAjUWviM) would probably be the most suitable ones so far. The classical ones are still too primitive and lack dynamics and articulations to fully represent their genre, and Suwa Foughten Field, while epic in itself, has quite distorted flute ensemble sounds and horrible overcompression (I learnt of the dangers in overusing compression only after making it). I'll probably still be making stuff before the deadline but if we start by looking at what we already have those two are the most suitable ones so far IMO.

However, if they're to be added to an actual album, I'm quite sure I'd need to edit them further. Loose rain has some serious issues with balancing the bass, and there's one horrible compression mistake at about 1:40 where there's a clearly audible drop in the volume. Also, the album version would have to be exported as a lossless WAV file instead of a MP3, and it maybe has to be mastered in a different dynamic range in order for it to match the other songs we pick. Making an album with huge variations in song volume levels is IMO a bad idea, so we probably have to adjust the volume/compression levels later on after the selections. Therefore, using stuff as-is isn't going to work and anything that gets picked will probably need further editing.

Also, there's the issue of soundfonts. Since I have yet to get any commercial instruments (I'm considering actually buying some soon, probably starting with the commercial version of Podium and GPO4, but haven't yet decided for sure when) I've had to use soundfonts and free VSTs. While the VSTs aren't troubling, the free soundfonts circulating around the web are often quite old and from relatively unknown makers, so checking, whether they have been produced legitly and whether there are any limitations on commercial use (some free soundfont makers specifically forbid commercial use) would probably be especially tricky. For most usual instrument types getting rid of soundfonts isn't a large problem since there exist usable free guitar/piano/bass/etc. VST plugins that can be easily found, but with classical instruments finding good VSTs is a pain. If some of my stuff gets selected, this will demand serious consideration (of course, if I decide to buy GPO4 this year, I can probably replace all my classical instruments with that removing the problem entirely, but I can't yet guarantee I'll buy it so don't count on it entirely).

I'll submit mine when I got my quality instruments up. Nobody wants to hear the most basic of MIDI sounds, especially if it's Japanese people I'm targetting :<?

Oh, should've said this in the discussions thread instead. My Apologies >_<;;

Ta sell-date is New Year's, but there has ta be some time for organization/copying/judging/whatever, etc.

This is not Medicine. This is Moedicine
(background sucks, I know, and so does the hand and the shading effects, I was never good with them)

EDIT: If you wanted to know, I chose Medicine because she isn't really popular and I love her. With the lake/water thingy I wanted to represent that she is like alone, or isolated would be the proper term.

It's applicable, but I would be lying if I said if that's where I got the idea. :p

It's actually from the live-action  "Blood: The Last Vampire (2009)" movie. The looking glass is a metaphor for the illusion of peace created for ordinary humans so they would not see the horrific massacres between the Chiropteran and humans.

IIRC the quotes were:
Quote
We'll come out eventually. Welcome to the other side of the looking glass.
Quote
She's out there, searching...searching for a way back to the other side of the looking glass.

Now that you mention it, the name of the narrating character in that movie is Alice. :D

Nerd info out.

I like how you always seem to mix stuff perfectly. :3
Mine was a little muffled so I like how you did it with yours. XD
Hmm, your approach gave me an idea on how to fix my version...

Request to Squiddy
Please replace the first version of Lost Dream, Broken Dream with this:
Lost Dream, Broken Dream (http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8508770/lost%20dream%2C%20broken%20dream.mp3)
It's remixed from the first version so it should sound a little better. Still pales in comparison to Sercan's version though. >.< (I really like his piano sounds, mine just sounds weird and FM synth-y) I'd fix my mix of Tabula Rasa too, if not for the fact that I forgot to save it before rendering...

...I just can't control Midi reverbs without arousing too much distortion...am I just inadequate? Maybe this is just what I get for using a pre-made midi...*depression*

Constructive criticism, Sercy...

The lips look a bit large, and they don't quite taper at the corners. I think it might be a better idea to just remove them, personally.

I like criticism, it helps me know where I need to improve. I'm thinking of removing the outline and just coloring the lips a different shade like in most western animations.

For me, this is the best thing I've ever drew, and I still think it's not good enough.

My (first) cover submission. It seems unlikely that this will ever be a printed CD, but it's still a good excuse for me to try to do my best and come up with some different ideas. I want to do a couple more in different styles just to test myself.

Can't you just copy the track and all the associated controllers into a new midi?

I use Notation Composer, and it lets me do that without much trouble. Then again, it's not piano roll...

Sercan, tell us that (user-unfriendliness) once you see Synthfont (http://www.google.com.ph/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=1&ved=0CBsQFjAA&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.synthfont.com%2F&ei=bq3PTMy2CIr0vwO03e3wBQ&usg=AFQjCNHpNwpfjjng24mCsux0_7aqBiUIhA&sig2=rNceBs8A0_W1UxWY3bsxjg) >.<
Though despite that, you could try Synthfont for your track-splitting needs. It's a liiiiiittle bit easier, replaces the "cli-click on the menu and press OK on the confirmation dialogue" with "press the trash button, not the red X button". The "saving, reopening, again, and again" is inevitable, unless we find another software that can undo even the deletion of tracks.

While I'm at it...

thanks to Anunsew, who guide me here, copy and paste my post to the correct place. :)

well...i had in my PC some songs...if you wanted them. Look them and if you like it...but well, im not a expert and nothing of all, only done this ones for fun. And are very old...

http://www.mediafire.com/?7392owwe9ui3hya ---Delirium Flower of Asia. Done with FL8; is a HUGE mix of sounds added with 4 pro (in that time...) even i not sure what Touhou songs is in it, but i hear Nostalgic Blood of the East ~ Old World (or is Kagome Kagome - Cinderella Cage?) , a bit of Flowering Night ...i don?t know from what song extract the beat (Jean Michel Jarre midi? XD) sounds who i like (birds, voices, pieces of songs of diferent parts and reversing, a clock, etc) and the Touhou midis. Is mesmerising, psychodelic, crazy.I do that XD?
http://www.mediafire.com/?q2h24xrnansqa1z--- Sealed Power. is Forbidden Magic but very Jarre-ish. Is mixed with a piece of Rozen Maiden midi, who strangely fit too well in the song. The Bird...
http://www.mediafire.com/?oz6b57m6l6q34du --- Black Sun. Nuclear Fusion, but a strange version, more dark and slow. After seen a documental (in portuguese XD) about the radiactive incident in Gohania (Cesio poisoning) and was impressed....in the back, i heared the song Radioactivity from Kraftwerk, and wanted do a Gensokian vercion of "how imagined the devasted land if Utsuho done her crazy thing."
http://www.mediafire.com/?5kjfznmtmlz ---Fallen Violet, Sariel First theme "Now, Until the Moment You Die"...a fun thing is the strange end: is the original song, mixed and reversing and speeded and filtered to the point to sound like a chorus.
http://www.mediafire.com/?qyzdleyjurz ---Momoiro Ayakashi. Is the Last Spellcard song "Border of Life" a song dedicated...to the Saigyou Ayakashi tree.
http://www.mediafire.com/?2apokh8dnaqv9yl ---a remix of the "Kourindou song" Curious Shanghai Gu Pai, who is one of the two ZUN colaborations for the Majhong game. Exist few of this one, then i do this. And Because is Kourin! (i don?t know what title give it; Rainspell sounds good.)
http://www.mediafire.com/?onfootkzjk4n434 ---is a march mixed version of Mystic Oriental Dream ~ Ancient Temple. My imagination said who this is the Konpaku clan pre-battle song.
http://www.mediafire.com/?qxrtv9oxdruiu7r --- a experiment done today..."Mechanics of Love" Hartmann's Youkai Girl, done with a midi and all but...the sounds...all of them are extracted from the game itself. Sounds eerie XD

and if no want, don?t worry can download equally XD. are in 192 all them....

no have good copies of mush of them because my PC exploded and lost the FL data of the old ones.

edit: my little contribution in draw form.

I just got the idea from flamezero's autumn entry. XD

It's going to be a long while before I'm going to work with distortion guitars again, they're a pain to mix in properly.

Re-uploaded.
Tea Breaks (http://dl.dropbox.com/u/8508770/Tea%20Breaks.mp3)
It's the same link, I just updated the file itself. Cool Dropbox ninja edits are cool.

Changes:
Changed guitar filtering.
Changed volume levels for Percussive OBSaw organ. (a what?)
And oh yeah, disabled stereo cancellation. I forgot to do it on my first upload, that's why it's in dual mono. It should sound in stereo now.

It's surprising how my hearing gets better after I eat dinner (after skipping breakfast and lunch..boy, I feel like throwing up right now)
...and then I suddenly realize that this submission is not really rock genre...

No submission, but since all others are posting their WIPs here...

You know what this album is still lacking? Some kind of vocal arrange.
But since there don't seem to be any singers around here, the next best thing would be...
(Please do not stop reading after the next line. May I ask to put your genre bias aside for a moment?)
...an Infinite Nightmare hip-hop arrange. Really, ever since I first heard that song, it seemed a perfect fit.

Here's a first version of the beat, until the second verse is supposed to start. (http://dl.dropbox.com/u/13801415/infi_verse1_wip.mp3)
This is still lacking an intro, and I apologize for a few uninspired parts. But hey, it's not finished yet.

Unfortunately, I'm not very good at writing lyrics, and even worse if they should rhyme or flow.
And concerning the vocals, I might provide them myself, but since I'm kind of ashamed of my accent, that wouldn't be too great.

Thus, I'm seeking lyric writers and vocalists for this.

Well, basically anybody can try rapping on this, but maybe there are some people here who are more confident than others and might even have a quality microphone. It would also be great if you could hit some notes, then we could include a few sung parts, like the chorus.
For the lyrics, if you need inspiration, how about a rap battle between Aya and Hatate who has the better newspaper. ... Oh, wait, this would be laughable without female vocals, and I doubt we have that here.
So, just write about anything from the view of a Touhou player, you know, clipdeaths, timing out VoWG or the like. It's called "Infinite Nightmare" after all.

If you are interested, please reply immediately, then I will continue working on the arrange, otherwise, it would not make much sense to put a huge amount of effort into this just to finish it before the deadline.
Please do your best, since although I'm also doing this to make fun of the song, it's still supposed to be a quality arrange and not a joke.

inb4 hip-hop is dumb, GTFO: Actually I don't listen to hip-hop either, for the same reasons you don't like it. But I still respect it as an artistic form, and it really can be great when done properly.

Again, this is no submission. Please don't put this onto the album without vocals.

Did you even read my post completely? I wouldn't have requested collaboration if that was what I wanted to be this like.

This arrange was just a honest attempt to bring a bit of unique variety to this album. I did not mean to troll anybody, otherwise I wouldn't have put that much work into this.
But sadly, you do not seem to want this here, and your reply only amplifies the vibe I've already gotten from the IRC channel. Well, thanks for at least showing your disinterest.

Don't take it that way, I actually found your melody quite catchy. Only a joke. And if I could write lyrics/sing I would certainly help.

Legacy. I might craft something for you.

tbh, though, it sounds more like ambience than hip hop. Maybe R & B

Um, still in progress. Gonna ink this and take it to a graphic to scan it, since it's in A3, then color it.

Also that goddamn shoe. I'll see if I can fix that.

Legacy. I might craft something for you.
Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay.

NamelessLegacy happily jumps around

FYI, I have currently pictured the following structure:
Intro (maybe some narration, I'll just adjust the composition to fit)
-> Verse 1 (0:11 - 1:32). This is where the rapping goes. However, I'm still unsure if we should include lyrics at the bridge part starting at 1:21, so you might just leave this part without lyrics
-> Chorus (1:32 -> 2:06). This should be sung, so the lyrics should fit the melody played by that synth instrument. Some bits of rapping here and there (recorded as a second voice underneath the singing) may be nice
-> Verse 2. Around the same length.
-> Chorus 2. It's up to you if this gets the same or different lyrics than the first one.
-> Bridge. I'm still completely unsure about this, maybe I have to throw in a different source track (yes, you may request one), since Infinite Nightmare's arrange potential will already be exhausted at that point, so write whatever and how much you like, rapped or sung.
-> Chorus 3... at this point, I have to come up with something nice to not make it sound too generic. Guess I can do the lyrics for this and the ending myself then.

If you need more or less space somewhere, that's also no problem, we'll manage that somehow.

tbh, though, it sounds more like ambience than hip hop. Maybe R & B
Oh really. I tried to make this dark, hoping that this will make it sound like gangsta rap automatically, but I guess my style made it way too soft for that. Well, I said I don't know much about hip hop in general...
Guess "ambience" is the one way to describe my style after all.

Don't take it that way, I actually found your melody quite catchy. Only a joke. And if I could write lyrics/sing I would certainly help.
Sigh. Well then, guess my effort did pay off~

Also that goddamn shoe. I'll see if I can fix that.
I don't see anything wrong with it. But that head seems a bit too small compared to the rest of the body, does it? Could also be that I'm not accustomed to realistic body proportions anymore. Otherwise, it's great.

NamelessLegacy continues working on that arrange

From which composition are you talking about?
You were talking about Lost Dream, Broken Dream, so that might be it :3

Art shouldn't be rushed. ;P
Yeah, as a perfectionist, I agree on this statement.
I kinda said that to boost up some kind of motivation to people, if it ever did, and remind them of the deadline =w=
Fuck, I haven't even started.
See? Haku reacted (edit), and has made his first art! xD (erm, no ill intent :ohdear)

Speaking of deadline,
7 DAYS LEFT BEFORE SUBMISSION JUDGEMENT DAY!!!
...or something :3

How can be who give songs and no even a little art?
... *feels guilty for not having the skill to draw nicely* ;_;

Uwaaah, VIVI, that art, it's...it gives off this certain serene feeling~ ?D

NamelessLegacy:
Infinite Nightmare! NamelessLegacy, I love you na~<3
...*ahem* Setting aside my instant love for Infinite Nightmare, I also love it as an arrange itself, especially that arrange-exclusive melody from [0:35] to [0:58] :*

Infinite Nightmare's drumbeats gave off that kind of hip-hop feeling for you, I bet :3. To be honest though, it doesn't sound hip-hop much just yet, for me at least. I think it's missing a few hip-hop elements, but I'm not sure what it is given my lack of hip-hop listening; that, or the totality of the music isn't letting me hear its hip-hop-ness. To be accurate, it only sounds hip-hop-ish from [1:32] to [1:55], not to mention Infinite Nightmare already has that hip-hop rhythm of a drumbeats.
Looking forward to you finishing it and give you more hearts~<3! :3

Well said. Like hip-hop, despite my unliking to heavy metal in general, a few melody that floats around my composer side kinda wants to do heavy metal of some kind, too =w=

Vocal? Oh! Count me i---oh wait, I don't rap and am unable to speak fast and clear :ohdear:... But eh, couldn't hurt to try :3
...Now I'm compelled to continue my instrumentals for Bad Apple and sing-record for it myself D: (...wouldn't re-singing an already-made song copyright infringement, though?)

Dude fucking fuck aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa it's still just half-inked and I have 3 exams the next 5 days, and I'm doing it on A3 so I have to take it somewhere to scan and then I have to color it and I'll be travelling to s?o paulo(8 hours by bus, 1 hour by plane to come back straight to college) for the entire monday and tuesday
Can I get 2 or 3 more days? ;-;

Also how will the piece selection happen?
Also I really think we need a PV of sorts to make the project as popular as possible.

Meh. I always thought his style was a bit excessive, and I prefer his linearts more anyways. Maybe thicken some lines or something.

Also, for once the head isn't gigantic. And the angle is nice, too. Best work I've seen from you, Formless.
Title: Re: [Music + Art] Atelier Album Project Submissions
Post by: NamelessLegacy on November 25, 2010, 03:30:19 AM
First off, thanks for that reply, Lloyd. Always appreciate walls of text, even the smaller ones~

Infinite Nightmare's drumbeats gave off that kind of hip-hop feeling for you, I bet :3.
This and it's for ZUN standards unusually simple piano riff.

...*ahem* Setting aside my instant love for Infinite Nightmare, I also love it as an arrange itself, especially that arrange-exclusive melody from [0:35] to [0:58] :*
That was the result of me playing around with the first two bars of the source, so it's not too exclusive, and rather should contain quite a level of fanservice, especially for people who love the source like you do. So far, everyone seems to love it, and I really should include it more than once... But the second verse currently seems to be going into a completely different direction, even further away from what is usually considered to sound like hip-hop... and it doesn't really fit anymore...

To be honest though, it doesn't sound hip-hop much just yet, for me at least. I think it's missing a few hip-hop elements, but I'm not sure what it is given my lack of hip-hop listening
Wait, let me pick apart this argument for a moment. It does not sound like something you didn't listen to? And if I add the usual sentiment of "hip-hop = dumb" (not that I'm thinking this is your opinion in particular), it is not sounding dumb enough to be labeled as hip-hop? Oh wow. Thanks for the compliment.
Well, from my repeated listening to that sample, I guess it's lacking some fat saw waves and way more bass in the final mix.

To be accurate, it only sounds hip-hop-ish from [1:32] to [1:55]
... or more of those silly scratches.
But well, I guess if anyone wants to listen to a hip-hop arrange, that person would still be more than satisfied with this one. Even if it sounds more ambient.

Vocal? Oh! Count me i---oh wait, I don't rap and am unable to speak fast and clear :ohdear:... But eh, couldn't hurt to try :3
Does this mean I can indeed count you in? :3

At this point, I want to make clear that this arrange should bring across a sense of community. You can still apply for lyrics and vocals, I'll make sure to integrate everything somehow.
except for Ubiquitial's troll contribution, of course

...Now I'm compelled to continue my instrumentals for Bad Apple and sing-record for it myself D: (...wouldn't re-singing an already-made song copyright infringement, though?)
If by "Bad Apple" you mean "Alstroemeria Records' arrange of said song", then yes, probably. It somewhat saddens me that this arrange, due to it's huge popularity, seems to already have become the source itself (just see Kommisar's arrange), with the original (that is, Lotus Land Story Stage 3) still being as forgotten as the rest of PC-98. Yes, it is a great song, but it's not the Bad Apple ZUN composed.

Also I really think we need a PV of sorts to make the project as popular as possible.
As much as I'd love to see a PV of my arrange, choosing any single track for a PV wouldn't be very representative for the album as a whole.
Guess the most fair option would be a slideshow kind of thing with all the submitted artwork and short, crossfaded samples of every song (with the latter being somewhat of a standard for doujin albums anyway).

*jawdrop* This is awesome.
Man, so many great artwork contributions. Choosing a cover surely will be hard...

Also, being the slacker that I am: Squidtentacle, could you please specify an exact deadline time, complete with UTC time zone?

I'd like to be in, though let me say again that I don't have the best of clear pronunciations, especially in a rapping-fast pace, so you might...want to consider that :ohdear:

Yes, I was referring to Alstroemeria one. I'm concerned about the lyrics because I plan on singing the same song but on my own arrange.

I meant the music to be Music box only...but I'll see if pitching in some background instruments will work for my listening...uhh, standards... If not, something like the Touhou  "Musicbox" arranges that I've already heard.

Maybe piano? Though I'd try the flute, too. (ack, sound samples >_<;;...)
Strings? Hnn... I'm a little skeptical putting some strings, despite its ambience or something...

Scanners suck.

Also the second version still has the weird eyes(which is a good thing, from my point of view), but it's less messy and better defined.
I like it better.

Well, actually I started back in December 10, 2009, so I'm a day late. XD

And Then Will There Be None? (http://tindeck.com/listen/jppl)

Also, as a reminder, THE DEADLINE IS IN 13 HOURS. PLEASE MAKE SURE ALL OF YOUR ENTRIES HAVE BEEN SUBMITTED.

There we go. Although it's only about 50% of the full song I imagined, it should be more than enough for this album. Unfortunately, the recording had to be rushed, so there's sound distortion and clipping all over the place. I'm very sorry for that, I'll give you a better one, and a FLAC as well, if this passes judging. Also, forgive the ending composition, gonna fix this as well.

Reminiscing About The Little Girl's Great Nocturnal Tour ~ Sound Galaxy

Sources:

TH03 東方夢時空 ~ The Phantasmagoria of Dim. Dream

TH04 東方幻想郷 ~ Lotus Land Story

Should be enough fanservice to console for the few original parts.

Enjoy.  The ending was not really what I wanted it to be, but oh well.  Based, of course, on The Gensokyo the Gods Loved, Mountain of Faith stage 3 theme, though it's somehow rearranged as well.

Post by: NamelessLegacy on December 12, 2010, 07:49:29 AM
Thanks! I kinda expected this to have a facemelting impact, but it's really nice to see it actually confirmed.

About the mixing, well, I guess that's around 30% of the composition work. Since most of the time, after recording a few bars somewhere, I always have to adjust the other instruments already playing there immediately to include the new part in the mix, and it does take quite some time... Well, that's the workflow if you have your synthesizer directly connected to your sequencer, instead of just running it through soundfonts after you're done with the composition ...

Can't really share your envy about the synthesizer though, since after hearing Affinity's arrange, I absolutely envy those... That song's easily one of my favorites of all the submissions. This floating underwater atmosphere is just breathtaking... Too bad you didn't manage to submit more, this would raise the final album sound quality quite a bit!

... For some reason I keep hearing Green Hill Zone (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SF9ZLNxHaBY) throughout the arrange. Oh well.

I'll start talking with the other judges to see when we can start the judging process. Thanks for all your submissions.

Post by: Affinity on December 12, 2010, 08:33:30 AM
Thanks, NamelessLegacy, your medley is also pretty great as well.  The drums and the guitar come in just about perfectly, and the sounds and drumbeats are really crisp and clear.  Also, the arrangement and the links between different sections of different songs are really logically and natural.  It also somehow fits the theme of east meets west as well (if that's a theme of the album), combining the rather western guitar riffs with the eastern melodies.  And well, the ending does seem as if it would lead to something else, but yup, again, well done.

As for the Green Hill thing, that's quite interesting.  Never thought about it before, though I can vaguely see it.

send me a PM by next Sunday
It's Monday now. And I think I did state that I need at least the music judging results yesterday, in order to start with the trailer. (http://www.shrinemaiden.org/forum/index.php/topic,7019.msg498648.html#msg498648) Flamezero told me he did hand in his votes three days ago. I don't know about the other judges (and, what a surprise, neither does Flame), but it shouldn't take that much time.

I can't prepare more for the trailer than I already did. Well, I could record replays and talk with the musicians to pick images and animations for every possible song. But I hate the thought that a big percentage of this will be wasted effort, and even more so after I talked with Flame and realized that my opinion on the best submitted tracks vastly differs from his.

We have 9 days (minus a certain amount of understandable Christmas delay) until Comiket. And we will need all that time to put together a cohesive and nice-sounding album, as well as a trailer and a website to compete with the rest of the C79 releases, since that was the plan. At this point, we have nothing of this. We can't afford any delays now.

Also, regarding the former point, we should not just put those MP3s, which are of varying quality level anyway, up for download. Lloyd (http://www.shrinemaiden.org/forum/index.php/topic,7019.msg431466.html#msg431466) and PT8 (http://www.shrinemaiden.org/forum/index.php/topic,7041.msg430661.html#msg430661) already stated the need for mastering and quality control, but those posts largely seemed to be ignored
maybe because stuff like this is unfunny and stressing, as Sercan put it
. Heck, even N-Forza requires the album to be of a sufficient quality level (http://www.shrinemaiden.org/forum/index.php/topic,7019.msg431837.html#msg431837), and even though this was referring to selling a physical album, I doubt he would hand out the fliers (http://www.shrinemaiden.org/forum/index.php/topic,7019.msg498592.html#msg498592) if it's not.
*sigh* If no one who is still around cares, I'd do this as well, seeing as I have to edit my track anyway.

And after a half week, that's still the most friendly way I found to put that all.
[/size]

Nameless. Quit freaking out about this so damn much. You are stressing out about this far more than anyone has any right to.

For me, it's only Sunday. Flame handed in his votes. I have my votes finished. Sercan has only submitted results for one person. Hakurei and Autumn (my mistake, Autumn isn't a judge) have not submitted anything. However, I just barely messaged them to tell them that they're late and they need to get their votes in ASAP.

My personal thought is this. If we don't make it by Comiket, fine. It was a sudden project with little planning put into it which was revised repeatedly until we had a final "plan" almost at the last minute. Even then, preparations were shaky and some people (myself included, I know that much) felt rushed or didn't get a chance to submit all they wanted to. If this is not finished by Comiket, it's not the end of the world. There are other conventions, which will give us much more time to prepare and plan. We're not yet an established circle like dBu or Demetori, we have not made any official announcements as to when we are releasing this, and therefore we have no obligations to squander.

If we miss Comiket, we can use the time until the next convention to properly plan, probably extend the submission deadline a month or two, get a nice website up and running, and touch up things that have already been completed. In fact, at this rate, it would likely be a better idea to wait until the next convention, but I'm still holding out for the other three judges to send me their votes.

tl;dr: Calm down. Missing Comiket is not a bad thing, and actually might be favorable at this point for better quality of the final product.
