> "Could you? Patchouli's suggested so far that she could magic up some seeds and make the ground more fertile, and I was going to ask Yuuka about a greenhouse since she made one for the Scarlet Mansion."
> Follow her outside and look around for Kogasa.

> Youmu nods.  "I'm not the best at tilling the earth, but I can still plant the seeds and take care of them.  Of course, I'm going to have to let Yuyuko-sama know where I am, first..."
> You follow Youmu onto the path and look around for Kogasa.  She's crouched near a bush nearby, watching a snail crawl up a leaf.

> "When we get everything rolling, then I'll let you know. Thank you for offering to help, Youmu."
> Walk up behind Kogasa. "Trying to surprise the snail?"

> You walk up behind Kogasa and ask if she's trying to surprise the snail.  She shakes her head.

> Look around at the landscape.
> "Oh, hey, Youmu, Yuyuko told me about the time when the two of you stole spring! What was that like?"

> You take a look at the landscape.  There's not much snow on the ground, but this bush is the only one in the shrine with leaves on it...
> Speaking of spring!
> "Ahh...that was many years ago.  Yuyuko-sama wanted the Saigyou Ayakashi to be in full bloom, so I was sent out to gather the essence of spring and make it happen.  This made winter last until May in Gensokyo here, so the red-white came and put a stop to it."

> Youmu frowns a little.  "The red-white already made that clear..."
> You nudge Kogasa off the ground, and think back to where Kanako-sama said the harvest goddess lived.
> She lived at the base of the mountain, didn't she?  There were wheat fields down there.

> "Well, the two of you probably didn't know any better, right? So, we're going to the wheat fields at the base of the mountain, to try to find the goddess. You're welcome to come along, or at least fly with us on your way home."

> The three of you start flying for the base of Youkai Mountain.  Even from here, you can see the expansive fields below, acting as a buffer between Youkai Mountain and the rest of the inhabited Gensokyo.
> "I've known her for a few years," Youmu says.
> You've briefly met Minoriko and her sister, when they come to festivals in the autumn.  They seem like decent people.

> Youmu nods.  "A few times before now."

> "Probably because of the whole 'stealing spring' thing, right? Both Reimu and Marisa visited us when we arrived, kicked my butt then offered tea afterwards. I'm guessing the same thing happened with you?"

> "Yes, it's a custom in Gensokyo..."
> You are now nearing the wheat fields.  They certainly aren't in any condition to be harvesting wheat, but the scarecrow in the middle of the fields makes up for that.

> Oh, hey, we forgot to ask Reimu if she knows anything about Mugetsu or Gengetsu! Mugetsu sure seemed like she knew a Hakurei maiden...

> It looks like there's a small shrine up ahead in the field.  Could that be it?

> Pout. "I guess you don't get much gossip up there, huh? Well, that looks like where I need to go. Do you want to tag along, or are you going to head back home?"

> She doesn't get much news, does she?
> "Dead men tell no tales," Youmu says.  "I'll be in Hakugyokurou, if you need me."  She turns and flies off.

> "Dead men tell no tales"? Argh, that Youmu be a pirate!
> "Bye! Thanks for the help!"
> Fly down to the shrine.

> You and Kogasa fly down to the shrine.  It's a small, humble, wooden shrine, with patterns of leaves carved into it.  There's a little donation box, but no bell.  A shimenawa decorates the roof.

>"Good morning!"

> You call out good morning, and the door to the shrine opens.  A girl with short blonde hair with a few dried up leaves in it opens the shrine door.
> "Good morniiing."  She stiffles a yawn.

> Bow politely. "Ah, is it Shizuha? Sorry to wake you, but I would like to speak with your sister for a bit. Is that all right?"

[日巫子]

> Bow politely. "Ah, is it Shizuha? Sorry to wake you, but I would like to speak with your sister for a bit. Is that all right?"

> You bow politely in greeting.  Shizuha shakes her head as if to clear it out.
> "Yes, that's right.  I'll go get her."  Shizuha turns and retreats into the shrine.  "Minorikooo."
> A few seconds later, a woman who looks similiar to Shizuha appears at the door.  She looks much more awake than Shizuha, and is wearing a cap with grapes on it, and a comfortable-looking brown dress with an apron, as opposed to Shizuha's red/orange dress.
> "What is it?"

> Bow politely. "Ah, you might not remember me, I'm Sanae from the Moriya Shrine. I came to request something of you. You probably already know about the troubles the Human Village has been having, with food shortages?"
