> "Yes."  Meiling walks over to the gate and fiddles with the lock, and then the gate swings open.  "Right this way," she says.  She makes a sweeping gesture towards the insides of the gate, mocking a chauffeur.

> You thank Meiling and attempt a curtsy to the best of your ability.  You nudge Kogasa to do the same.  Her curtsy is a little more clumsy because she's holding her umbrella.
> Once you and Kogasa are through the gates, Meiling shuts them behind you and returns to the stool.  You and Kogasa are now standing on a walkway leading to a large wooden door, the front door.  On both sides of the walkway are empty flowerbeds, presumably a garden in hibernation for the winter.  Going through the garden is another path that leads around the mansion.

> You introduce yourself and Kogasa.  The girl steeples her fingers.  "Ah.  Follow me."  She turns and walks into the mansion.  "Please close the door behind you," she calls back over her shoulder as she walks down the hallway.
> Oops, Parsee can't even leave her bridge to come get the brownie.

> As you follow the maid, you gawk at everything inside.  This place is huge and gives off the vibe of someone important living here.  There is a carpet on the floor, and framed paintings of people you don't recognize on the walls.  It's also quite red on the inside, as it was on the outside.
> The maid walks down the hallway until she reaches a doorway with a chandelier hanging over it.  She opens the door and peeks inside.
> "Miss Knowledge, Miss Kirisame, there are some people here."
> You hear some voices, and then the maid opens the door fully.  "Okay, you can go inside."

> You enter the room, hand in hand with Kogasa.
> One word to describe this room would be "giant".  The marble floor stretches out and the ceiling is very high.  There's a crystal chandelier hanging from the ceiling, and one wall is covered in countless little wreathes.  There's a stairwell on that same wall, leading down into the darkness.  On the other side of the room, the floor drops off into a grassy area that is, despite the winter, teeming with flowers and other plant life.  Instead of stone walls, it is covered by the same glass dome you saw when you first approached the mansion.  On the far side of the room, across from you and Kogasa, is a wide staircase.  The left branches off out of sight (presumably into another level of the mansion), and the right leads a little into platform overlooking the greenhouse/garden.  Within the garden itself, other than plants and flowers, are cobblestone pathways leading through to a little fountain in the center.  The sound of splashing water echoes pleasantly throughout the entire hall.
> In the center of the marble floor is a small wooden table holding about six seats.  Next to the table is a cart on wheels, holding a silver teaset and a small tray of lady finger cakes.  You see Marisa sitting with her feet on the table, holding a cup of tea in one hand and a cake in the other.  Sitting across from her is a smaller looking girl dressed in a frilly mauve nightgown and reading from a thick tome.

> "Marisa~!" Gawk at the room inside.

> Whoaaaa.
> Marisa glances over at you.  "Oh?  I was expectin' Reimu, ze, but this is a nice surprise too~ze!"

> "Patchouli Knowledge of the Scarlet Devil Mansion's Voile Library.  A pleasure," the librarian says, but her voice doesn't have a lot of warmth in it.

> Patchouli glances up from her book.  "That's--"
> You suddenly pull a miracle that's odd even by your standards, and make the cake multiply a few times.
> "Whoooaaaa."  Marisa reaches over, takes another piece, and bites into it experimentally.  "This is for real, ze!"
> Patchouli nearly drops her book.  "Multiplyingfoodistheholygrailofreplicationmagichowwassheabletodothat...?!" she murmurs.
