> There must be a lot of earth separating the surface from the underground, but it's pretty obvious that this is where the water is draining to.

> You spontaneously recall memories associated with the Silent Shrine.  Fighting her was actually part of one of the first incidents you ever solved, and it's not exactly something you want to repeat.  Youkai like her are the reason there are spell cards.  That was the only time she ever started an incident, though.  She's actually pretty nice to you.
> What little you know about her is that she's one of the Devas, and is unusually quiet for an oni.  Sanae has mentioned her before in conversation, which leads you to believe they know each other somehow.

> When you reach the outskirts of the city, you see oni and other subterranean youkai rushing through the streets in all directions in a state of absolute chaos.  Some are moving valuables to higher ground (ie, the roofs) while others are working to stabilize buildings that look on the verge of collapse.  Kasha in various states of excitement and disgruntlement push tarp-covered carts between the crowds.  People are riding on each others shoulders and making makeshift rafts out of driftwood to ride down the streets in.  Sandbags are being thrown around.  What does it even look like further in the city.

> Because the Palace of the Earth Spirits is somewhat apart from the Ancient City, it's less chaotic here, but just barely.  Satori's pets are busy building a wall of sandbags around the gates to prevent any water from getting into the front yard.  Hell crows are flying in clusters behind the house, emitting loud caws of distress.  As you near the house, a few cats follow you and bat playfully at your ankles.  The doors of the palace are wide open, and you can hear voices and footsteps echoing inside.

> In the distance is where you'd see the glow from the Hell of Blazing Fires, but now water has cut off the light.  Furthermore, you hear the roar of water coming from the direction of the nuclear reactor.  It's cold and dark back here.
> The water is indeed loud, but the prevailing sound is that of distressed wailing coming from the general direction of the reactor.
