You've journeyed to the Netherworld and met Saigyouji Yuyuko. You've gone to the Human Village and met Murasa Minamitsu, Ichirin, and Unzan. You've gone to the Myouren Temple and met Kikuri, who is repenting. You've wandered to the hot springs and delivered a flute to Reimu. You've discovered that the ghosts have actually been led by a girl named Madotsuki and "Mary". In fact, the situation has gotten much worse: the Dream World Madotsuki created is on the verge of collapse. You've discovered that Konngara likes you, but in the end you turned her down and are now kind of worried about her going and isolating herself in her shrine. On the other hand, you've thought about hooking up her and Kikuri. You've gone to the depths of the Former Hell and found the tengu, Himekaidou Hatate, and sent her back to the Tengu Village. You've found Madotsuki and managed to get her and all the other ghosts to go back to the Netherworld. You've discovered that the flute you gave to Reimu actually belongs to Madotsuki, and you are planning to go back to the Hakurei Shrine and give it back. You've also vowed to do something about the food issues in Gensokyo after the Day of Kikuri.

He is completely absorbed in the piano and does not notice you.

You just barely see little specks of light coming from various points of the mountain and at the peak, presumably from the tengu and kappa villages and your shrine. Since it's so dark, it's hard to see where you're landing, but when you do so you hear the roar of a waterfall a little ways away. You must be closer to the tengu village, which means the shrine shouldn't be too far off.

Well, the latter can be deal with ("Hey here's a brush, every wanna vandalize a sleeping deity?"). The former, I think it would be more hurtful to hide it if she ever found out about it later. Better to be honest; otherwise she might thing we took the whole thing like a champ and expect us to pull it off again no problem.

I'm with Purv on this one. Better to say things now rather than later; it may be more of an issue if we leave it. And it won't make us look any better if we start hiding stuff from Kanako. I mean, she helps us and trusts us; no point in breaking that by hiding it, even if it is a big thing. Actually, more of a reason there.
Plus, she'd probably give help more than she would panic. That is, of course, not to say she won't.

It's very dark, but not enough that you'll need to grab a flashlight to get there; there are also some lights on in the Tengu Village. As you walk, you notice that there are a lot of plants sprouting from under your feet, making a path as you walk. They're even spreading to other areas around you, miraculously staying alive in the wintery weather.

Because it's night, not many people are on the streets but members of Momiji's patrol or tengu heading home from work or going out drinking. Because of this, there are a few shops that are open. The buildings themselves don't go very high up, but it's hard to find a building that isn't two stories high. There are also some bars here and there, each one packed with tengu. They are heavy drinkers after all. Still, it's very peaceful and civil at night here, and the occasional breeze is also very pleasant.
