>Compare the shard to the first, see if there's some way to put the two together.

> Obtained: 2/8 shard
> You give Koishi a marble from the jar.  She puts it in her skirt pocket without so much as a 'thanks' and immediately takes off down the hall with the rabbit.  She has left her book behind.
> You hold the two shards up next to each other.  They're both about the same size, but there don't seem to be any ridges that would connect them in any way.  The glow is stronger now.

> You read through it a little more thoroughly this time as you walk.  There are entries for whales, sharks, dolphins, squids, sea turtles, something called a "coral reef", cuttlefish, jellyfish...what??...and a compilation of deep sea creatures, in that order.  Each entry has a few pages that are mostly pictures and captions, with basic information about each animal.  There's nothing about oarfish here.

Also, idea for a future plan - these new fish aren't from Gensokyo, right? Then they probably know how they got there. Maybe we should take Satori to the surface so she can check whether the fish know anything. [Might wanna stop by kappa city if we need to get properly equipped for a trip like that, though, and I'm not sure whether this or grilling the Moriyas should take priority. Either way, probably a good idea to take Satori with us to act as our walking lie-detector and to make sure she doesn't get in any trouble.]

I am thinking that working on blocking it from the surface is a good idea. Also, bringing Satori to yell at the fish isn't a bad idea, either, but I wouldn't drag her everywhere. Satori aren't too well loved, after all.

>"Thanks, Suika. Seriously."
>Take it to the bridge.

> Suika gives you a thumbs up.
> You take to the skies and fly off towards the bridge, the opposite direction of whence you came.  You fly over the Palace and its front yard, where you see Satori helping to stack sandbags in a protective wall around the gates.  She sends you off with a wave as you head out over the city.
> The Ancient City is pretty big, so it takes you a while before the bridge is actually in sight.  It's outside the city itself, and you have to pass by a section on the outskirts, one at a lower elevation than the rest, that has been completely submerged.  Thankfully, it looks abandoned.
> You leave the city through a wide tunnel and land in a sizable cavern.  And there's the bridge.  It's still in tact, barring a few missing beams.  The river, which is normally either dry as dust or barely flowing, is now maybe a few meters or so from the bottom of the bridge and racing like there's a 50% discount at the store that's ending in five minutes.
> There appears to be a few people on the bridge right now.

> There's really nowhere to land besides water, if you want to hold a conversation with the girls.
> Parsee is most definitely there.  It's impossible to mistake her for anyone else given her ears, distinctive eye color, and unique clothing.  She's resting her arms on her knees and squinting at the river below.  As for the other girl...you're not sure.  She's almost completely engulfed in her towel, and all you can see are her red eyes and blonde hair.
