[Music] Miracle∞Hinacle Fandub (with embarrassing singing inside!)

Alright, so my school's biannual talent show is coming up in two weeks, and I have to sing something for it since everyone there is making me ;_;

So, after stressing out for a few weeks about what to do, I had an idea last night to do an English-version of Miracle∞Hinacle. It seemed like a good idea at the time!

So, I wrote out an English version that rhymes and stuff, and then recorded myself singing. Laugh at the attachment, it's hilariously awful. I tried keeping it true to the original lyrics but then I realized no one would know who Hina is, so it ended up turning into some fluffy song about rainbows and unicorns and shit :V

So, um, any help on making lyrics flow better, suggesting better lines, anything is welcome. Rewrite the whole thing if you want, just tell me what I'm doing wrong and how I can improve! The more detailed the better! Also, any suggestions for what to do during the big calm part near the end; I was thinking of singing "miracle" in different languages (miracle, milagro, kiseki, wunder, etc), but that doesn't really work well

And the lyrics sound pretty good as well. Just don't lose your cool when you perform in public and you should be good to go.

I learned a few things today:
a) singing while trying to keep your voice down sounds horrible
b) My netbook's microphone is horrible
c) Not only did my audio recording and mixing silly-excuse-for-freeware record my voice funny, it managed to make my voice sound even weirder once I added the song in.
d) To never, ever sing ever again in my dorm, lest half the girls on my floor listens through the door
e) To never, ever record on my computer again, ever.

So, with regards to your project, from singing it myself, I have the following suggestions:

This stanza doesn't flow very well, at least in my opinion. Too many syllables I think.

The last lines, 'A miracle from me' don't flow well from the previous lines for some reason. Rather, the 'a' is slightly jarring.

I have no suggestions for improvements though.... ^^;;

I know, that was horrendous....horrendously funny, that is XD I was made to play it back for the dorm friends who found me out...and I just cringed and winced at my own voice turned into Erebian Nightmare Fuel ^^;; Still, I managed to make a lot of people laugh so that was ok XD

The ironic thing is that last weekend we finished recording the songs I sang for the musical I'm part of. If you compare them, they sound like two completely different people ^^;; How is that physically possible? XD

Bottom line - a) I need to get better recording equipment for myself (which will probably never happen, considering I'm not a professional singer XD), b) I need to practice MiraclexHinacle (which will probably never happen either, cause I'm busy ^^;

I really wasn't sure what to do with the last few stanzas, but I'll keep that in mind. A lot of the last few lines do feel really rushed, but I wasn't sure how to cut down the syllable count without destroying the grammar :ohdear:


Amusingly, even though I haven't even told my mom that I'm singing in the show, she decided to get me singing lessons from one of her friends. Good timing, I guess!
