Hmmm where is the other girl???With the first, on the other side of the sheet. You see third one.
Also you should draw first a sketch using a light pencil before to draw the final pic, this way you can avoid to let lines passing inside of your objects.I draw pic gradually, first I draw common shapes, then put more detail.
Your characters in drawings are really tallI already noticed that.
do you like Clamp-style art?Don't know what are you talking about.
BTW did you draw that Cow?Only added more red. Try to google a "cow" image. :3
Do you like architecture?Really, not. Those things are just fun to draw.
though might need a bit more work on figureOh no that would mean redrawing this from the beginning, I'm too lazy for that.
i rly like ur skills on perspective and viewsProbably I'll try, I'm going to have a lot of free time without good internet.
maybe u can try some cityscape?
Oh no that would mean redrawing this from the beginning, I'm too lazy for that.Uh, frankly, I think Freeze meant that your anatomy is very iffy, and not just for the picture in question. Probably a good thing to focus on for now?

That is the most adorable Cirno ever.LOL this Cirno is not mine.
Your artwork is very good! Keep it up!
All right then, how about~Epic fail (http://img-fotki.yandex.ru/get/4127/110955323.7/0_b1f9d_8072738_orig).
might need a bit more work on figure...
Request completed + new stuff!
You're improving at a faster pace than I amI am particularly youkai, you're not a single bit one. :3
Her hands are different sizes.Hands... hands.
Her shoulders look too low, but I think that's partially because of her capette.I intended to draw hair lying on shoulder, but now think that Homu should walk like ninja to keep them resting like that. ^^"
The linework is pretty wiggly, what program are you using?MyPaint. Actually, I haven't searched hard for proper painting program, just seen it mentioned in some old post in Post Your Artwork.
Don't be so afraid of shadows, they could do with being a lot bigger. Also, I can't tell where the light is coming from?Sun from the very top. At least, I thought that while was adding shadows.
All that said, I can see a marked improvement over your previous stuff. Keep it up!Yay!
Wa-ha-ha-ha-ha, fear, heavens, I am returned and I am more derp than ever!Really the bottom part is strange, maybe you should try to copy it from a real model looking images on google or try to use a simple-shape model to have a better idea of this pose.

I absolutely do not like her bottom parts. I think I'll cut them off if I'll ever continue on this... thing.
By the way, do you take requests?
Depends on my mood. You may try your luck and give an attempt to get my interest. :3
sakeGood morning, Reimu.
next time draw a character without the hair first, and then insert it.I do so, but despite that... ._.
I don't mean to nitpick too much, but constructive criticism is usually one of the most effective mechanisms of improvement. It's okay, don't bother about it much.
That left hand looks a bit wrong :x
the fingers are positioned the reverse of what they shouldAgain?!
"Take it easy, Delfi!"
"Okay. T_T"
Ah, well allow me to attempt to help. o/Wow, thank you!
I wasn't able to tell what direction Komachi was facing, so I drew her facing the right. (Although the more that I look at it, she seems to be facing the left?)Yes, she was basically facing the same direction with the boat - captain and all, I thought that would make sense. Seems you've just flipped her left-to-right, I've flipped Komachi back (as you may see) and it's all right now. :V
Her arm placement was a bit weird, considering her right hand/arm was holding the scythe, yet it appeared to be resting on her left shoulder. The intent here was to make her right hand to rest on the handle, while the scythe is balanced on her right shoulder by that hand and the blade.
One thing that seems to be bothering me yet I can't place my finger on it would have to be the perspective. I can't really tell where your horizon line is. I tried outlining the boat with one perspective point, but it doesn't seem to quite match up correctly. (Same with two points; perhaps it's just me!)Well, this boat probably forms two-point perspective, though the second point may not be easily seen (I had trouble finding it myself ._.). There are two lines on the boat that are perpendicular to its general direction (which you found and marked) - one is at its stern, and other is right under the shinigami. The latter one was used as a marker of the broadest point of the boat.
I, uh, hope that made a little sense. It certainly did made sense, especially compared to a couple of bearded yukkuris. :V
When I start to grasp nothing and draw crap, is this a time to say "enough for today"? ._.That's your cue to get a rest.
ゆっくりしていてね!~
Toyosatomimi no RanToyosatomimi? ???
Toyosatomimi? ???Given the hair color and her "ears", your Ran somewhat giving me that impression. :V

Oh, I see.

img (http://i.imgur.com/WUKFoVP.jpg)2 hours, lile GA thread OP suggests.
Also you could draw her eyes more rounder instead of using straight lines.Somehow I've decided that edgier eyes would fit Mokou more. :derp:
As the year 2014 draws to a close, I hope that you have had a wonderful year full of creative endeavors.Ha.
I'm glad you do!
Meanwhile: Hey, knucklehead! I'm talkin' ta you! Da ze! (http://i.imgur.com/MNlPJcn.jpg)
My gibus is my friend, it helps me relax. (http://i.imgur.com/eMcf3Wj.jpg)Other than the tiny hands, looking good.
* Kourinn Co store ;)Coming soon to a Kourindou near you
Other than the tiny hands, looking good.Aha. While I don't take it seriously, doodles come out fine; but every time I try to do something good, it results in a snapped neck :/
Something about Reisen is bugging me but I can't quite put my finger on it.Maybe that it's actually Tewi who is short like Remilia? :V

"Charge me, doktor!"
"Ya!"

"Oh no!"
"Dummkopfs."
Anyway, pl_badwater (http://i.imgur.com/d9z0T42.png) and a shameless rip (http://i.imgur.com/AzRrUD7.png) off http://danbooru.donmai.us/posts/1780553 (http://danbooru.donmai.us/posts/1780553).God, I love Expiration Date so much.
Wait why am I suddenly one of the most active posters in AAA? (http://i.imgur.com/5ERuyyY.png)
Now with sketch stages (http://imgur.com/T8zvmQO,8fToIxx,XZ7UxqR) to show how much I suck and how I still try to fix it ._.
From the angle that Merry is standing at I feel that her left arm should be more visible. Currently it makes her left forearm look more like her waist in the picture. Both girls' arms are a bit too long. Generally the upper arm ends at the waist, just under the rib cage. I hope that helps. :ohdear:Thanks.
Just curious, where is that second source of light coming from? I see they're being lit up by the moon, but what is lighting up Merry's face and Renko's back?I didn't think much about it. Probably some antique (by the time the Club gets to work) lamp standing on the ground. Making a fire at a cemetry doesn't seem like a good idea to me (http://en.touhouwiki.net/wiki/Ghostly_Field_Club/Story), and the light from it would be warmer (=more reddish) anyway unless they decide to burn some aluminium or acetylene... even worse idea, really.
I think the straight edges of the room and furniture could use some cleaning up. Is there a tool in Sai that acts like the Pen Tool in Photoshop? Alternatively, Shift+Clicking works as well.If you are about vector graphics, SAI does support that through special type of layer.
Ever wanted to see a picture with some sakura and the word "LAZY" writte all over it? (http://i.imgur.com/anjCDQf.png)The stairs seem to confuse me a bit. Are we on top of a hill looking down the staircase? If that's the case then the angle the stairs are at is too steep.
So much bump. Bumping spree!
[P]s (http://i.imgur.com/I3LfQ0j.png)...or shit that I don't push and just ragequit instead.
See? I really am a touhou. Are you happy to die now?
And here is one more of those "I'm way too lazy to do this background" things. (http://i.imgur.com/fFZmRWv.png)
Imagine her saying
I think this is one of your best attempts at capturing form.I still think it's wrong to compare pure tracing with... anything other, actually. Even drawing from a photo requires some mental work (that, as you've seen, you can totally fail at), unlike drawing over it.
So what happened to your studies.Dropped. Not enough determination. You can ignore this thread from now on if you want.
A little stiff imo. Have you tried experimenting with a line of action?Haven't really, as I draw even less now. Maybe sometime later.

Anatomy is a boiling cauldron of a thing to throw yourself into, which you did exactly that. Google images really is not helpful at all to start with, don't feel bad.
The read order on that is a little hard to piece out. The simplicity has its charm, though.I tried reading it right to left at first because of associations. If it looked "western" enough I would have read it left to right instead.
I've never been a person to work hard either. It doesn't really seem important to me to work really hard and spend like 10 hours a day trying to improve. Sure it'll get you mileage, but if you go in circles it's not really useful. Worrying about how long I spend drawing just makes me feel bad when I can't make myself go over an hour. I'm still not entirely sure the best way to improve for myself, this is just things I've heard other people say. You just need to figure out the best way for yourself.
