This is a forum game of my own invention that I would like to try out. I may use new rules in the future depending on how it turns out, but I figure may as well start.
Red vs. Blue
1. Each player is assigned a color - either red or blue - in secret via pm.
2. Each "day cycle", which lasts 24 hours, every player pms me the name of someone they want to convert to their own color.
2a. You cannot attempt to convert yourself to your own color. Self targetting will be ineffective.
3. Every 24 hours (or once I?ve received commands from every player), I tell all affected players their new color, and the game progresses a day.
4. In the event that an equal number of players from both sides target someone, their color will not change. (Tie means no change)
5. Whichever color is the last color standing wins.
6. If the game lasts 8 days, the majority team wins.
7. The number of red players and blue players remaining will be announced at the beginning of each day.
You may talk as much as you want in thread. As of now, the only rules are those listed above.

Is it suposed to be completely random? Without even knowing your own color, there's no way to tell if you're winning or losing.
What's the point of talking if you don't know your team ever?
"Whichever color is the last color standing wins." <-- How many rounds is this going to go, because 23 blues hunting for 1 red that keeps changing could go on forever, I'd seriously consider 7 rounds or something.

You will be informed of your own color at the beginning of the game via pm. No one else will be informed of your color. You will also be informed whenever you are changed to red or blue, and the number of red players and blue players remaining will be announced at the beginning of each day.
If the game lasts too long, 7 rounds is fine, with victory to the majority.

Interesting game! The fact that it looks to me like a variant of Mafia is making me think twice about joining in, though.
Will Mafia experts start with a considerable edge over inexperienced players? If so, I think I'll just watch (and learn, hopefully :V)

Well, my suggestion IS playing-just treating it as cooperative instead of competitive.
Oh, and "wanting all winners" is "wanting to win and the best way to do that is to have as many people win as possible, and everyone can win so that gives the best odds, i.e. 100%", and as it does involve playing the game,

Couldn't have said it better myself.
Though PX your plan has a small problem. Those on the losing side still get a shot in. That shot will have a very high chance of converting, putting us in idk, 8-6 reversed, giving those on the BLUE team 100% chance of being in the lead, and those on the RED team ~30%. I can't see anyone on the red team agreeing with that plan after 5 seconds of thought.

I called the particular line useless, not the person.
I have seen a good strategy that is objectively better for winning the game, of course I'm going to be critical of any other strategy. Of course, I view it as constructive criticism, but I see how it wouldn't come across that way.

well, i totally forget what i was thinking when i made it. but when i RE-READ it, i thought "oh lol, i claimed my real faction because i don't like the color red and wanted to be recruited". i never checked my role pm after that
