there are a few ways to vector, one is manually, the other is through vectormagic.com

vectoring manually is using the curves mechanics to stroke outlines and fill in colors which replace the picture with 'pieces' like a jigsaw in photoshop or editing software for artists, and eventually it becomes a complete picture.

keep up the good work and soon you will have to learn to draw anatomy... which is by far the hardest thing everyone has to go through.

About anti-aliasing, itis not needed, this is 1:1. I just rushed it to make it on time on newyearseve. About varying line width, I have them, but very suttle, beside it is CG anyway, varying line width is less important then manga.
Again rushed though. Otherwise probably more variation in the lines and probably colours aswell.

So...lets get serious?
