Try to color without leaving a single white spot unintentionally. Also, keep your pencils sharp; I can tell from experience that scanners will make the colors look bad unless they were done smoothly (or it might be that my scanner just sucks =P). Patience is key.

Once again I am left in awe at your work, Formless God~ I can't wait to see the finished Byakuren, I'm sure she'll look simply fantastic~

Anyways, Nitori is coloured now.

Well, I'd like to think I'm getting slightly better each time, so hopefully this is my best yet. Hopefully. Also, the good thing about the Gunbuster pose is that I didn't need to draw her hands, eheh~

They could be flames. Very oddly shaped flames... :V But still, the dress instantly screws that up, anyways. Really, I dunno how you make that mistake...

Certainly, yes. The more you practice, the better you'll get. Like I said, aim for smooth coloring.

With patience, you should be able to get something like this:
