This is gonna sound really shallow, but it's mostly in regards to price/volume. (I knew going into this that my creativity contribution was going to be 0, so.)

Every year's a learning experience! For me, last year it was that it's worth it to put a bit of extra effort into things. This year I learned that extra effort deserves a second draft.  :V

There are so much things I learned from this first CPSS I can't write them all down. Hopefully, I didn't screw up.

That's basically my issue this year, and the main reason I didn't participate last year.  Some people here know exactly how much I've been stressing out over this (hint: a lot).

People need to remember that it's the effort and thought that's important and not the price or amount of stuff you're sending.

Christmas spirit is worth far more than that~!  This is supposed to be fun, remember that people!

(Not that I don't have some thoughts of wondering if I've done enough or if I should try the creative end of things, but then I remember I'm doing what I think will get the most happiness possible out of what I can do for my recipient.  tl;dr don't stress so much)

Got the message that my package arrived today. Unfortunately this means that I have to go through my mom to get it, and after calling her she says she didn't receive it.  I'm not sure what that means the truth actually is.

Had to ask for the Tracking Number. Apparently my package was delivered on Mother Fucking Thursday, which is great because I can only imagine if my mom got her hands on it on that particular day it may already be in a dumpster.

Can't wait to deal with THAT issue tomorrow.

I checked your thread and whoadang.  I don't know if it applies (if it shipped USPS vs a private carrier) but it's against federal law to tamper with someone else's mail and if you have the delivery confirmation that might count for something?  If you were to bring along a police escort to get your things like you mentioned (which my uninformed opinion says yes that a good idea anyway) that + dropping "oh yeah btw federal offence" might be enough to spook her into coughing it up if push comes to shove. 

But damn that's a lousy situation you're in.  Good luck to ya in getting out and moving on.

this is the second time I have gotten an address I have been around for several years wrong this month. It's only the number '58' but apparently that's impossible to remember at 4 AM or whatever time I tend to be doing random internet bullshit

Got my package today. Apparently we have an extra-large dropbox I didn't know about that fit the box, so there was no trouble with it getting routed back to the post office or anything. I had to cautiously open the outer box because I'm part of several online Secret Santas and I have a few things on order from Amazon that need confirming, but I left the interior stuff untouched. I didn't even prod the wrapping for clues. :V The Reimu doll in the box is ornamenting my tree now though, which is totally fair game because the box wasn't marked and she wasn't wrapped. At least, I assume this package was from this gift exchange. Maybe somebody from another site is just a really good detective.

Just 10 days until Christmas!

As a reminder, those in the US sending domestically have until Wednesday to get their packages shipped out.  It's so heart-warming to see so many people receive their gifts, though I must say a few of you have a different definition of the word "deadline" than I learned in Santa School.  Please do not forget to notify me once you mail your gift out and to send your tracking number!  If you plan on sending a fully digital gift please let me know as well so I can make a note of it.

Random thing I discovered: if a package was sent to you as a gift from Amazon there's actually a little thing in the shipping label that says "Gift Inside". Just something I noticed.
