The SDM is in panic. There is an unknown disease among all fairy maids, turning them even more useless than they were before. In this game, you become a servant of the mansion and try to survive your days as a sla?servant. You may have to respond to a call, or you may have to cook a dinner. Anything can happen and nothing will make sense in this game. Welcome to another Helepolis special. Good luck!

Order of players and colour code
Kilgamayan - black servant of darkness
Chaore - gray earl tea servant
master105 - Yellow sun flower servant
PX - Red killer servant
Schezo - Orange fruity servant
Affinity - Purple eggplant servant
Dular - Green nature servant
Corruption - Blue liquid servant

Objectives
Last man standing or after 24 nights (game nights) person with highest points wins.

General rules

Game & rules
Game play involves a number of players, however, every person is an individual player and has to play for him or herself. Every round starts with a turn for all the players where actions can be performed or event being triggered. Here are the rules:



How to play and map explained:
Every round, everybody sends in their commands. Dicing for movement is done last. This way we can create a movement -> action order for the next turn. For the first round, everybody will be random diced by me. You must walk if you dice, including in round 1. If you do not wish to dice after 1st round, you simply don't sent me a dice command. The goal of the game is to be a good girl/boy in order to earn points, survive and win. Doing good things earns reputation (CHA) or rewards (items/points). Doing bad things lowers your reputation and you might get hurt (--Life). If your life is depleted, you are fired/dead.

How a round flows:
1 - PMs are sent to the moderator with commands.
2 - Once all PMs are in, moderator processes the actions. (Calculations/processing movement etc.)
3 - Moderator performs AI processing (events, triggers, movement etc.)
4 - Results are declared, timer is reset.
5 - Round ends, next one is declared.

Sending PM
- Sent a PM with the title:  SDMPC round X followed by your commands.
- I beg you to use only pure commands in the PMs to ensure smooth game flow. So please refrain from role play or story-based content.  Example:

Movement
Movement is done based on rooms or movement spots (circles). Lines between movement spots show the forced direction. You may move back if you wish, that is up to you. For example: Movement in living room has 3 circles but no lines, meaning you can free move between them. However, if you wish to pass to a room, you must be on the nearest circle (if present) else you may free choose.

Example of legal movement if you start on G0:
1) You have rolled 3 --> ##Move L1 > L3 > Kitchen (Living room has no forced directions, therefore you can move like this)
2) You have rolled 3 --> ##Move Gallery > F1> H3   (Stairway counts as room/movement spot)
3) You have rolled 3 --> ##Move Gallery > L1 > Bathroom 1 (you decide to only use 2 movement spots. Bathroom is only reachable through L1 (nearest))

Examples of illegal movement:
1) You have rolled 3 --> (if starting on Gallery) ##Move L1 -> Fun room -> B3 (you cannot reach fun room through L1, you must move to L2 first)
2) You have rolled 2 --> (if starting on G0) ##Move Gallery > L3 (you cannot reach L3 because you need to move to L1 or L2 first

Final info/tips
The mansion is large as you can see and lots of areas can be moved to. In each room or area, you may choose to perform commands such as ##Examine or ##use or anything. I am not going to reveal you what will work or not. It is matter of trial & error for everybody. Remember that you area employee, therefore need to mind the status of each room. Sometimes there will be a rush or race to conquer an area or earn reputation.
As a final note, 2 people in the same room cannot perform some social or chorus commands. Example: 2 people cannot clean a room, but can both use items or examine. Though this is written behind the commands so should be clear, hopefully.


Main Commands
##Dice, dices 1d6 for next turn. May be ignored if you do not wish to move. Must be used as last command and cannot be used if something else ends your turn.
##Move <direction/room> Movement is done by ##move <directions>. Requires dicing. [can be combined once per turn with a command that doesn?t end a turn immediately]
##Use <item> <target>, uses/reads/etc an item. Effect is immediately applied. Optional target if applicable.
##Destroy <item>, destroys/purges item. It disappears from game. [may destroy multiple items]
##Sleep, goes to sleep. If there is no bed nearby, you will sleep like Meiling (standing). Restores 2 life units, skips turn. Cannot be attacked by players if you sleep in a room.

Chorus commands (ends turn immediately when used)
##Clean, cleans/dusts etc an area. Requires water and broom. [max 1 person per room]
##Sabotage, tips over a table or pours dirt. Causes area to turn orange no matter what.
##Purchase <item>, purchases item(s). Can purchase multiple items in 1 turn.
##Examine, examines the area. Results are PMed.
##Shop. Requires you to be at the gates! On your next turn, you may shop. [ends turn]
##Buy <items> (you may buy as much as you like, if your inventory allows. Only usable if you are shopping. [cannot use any other actions aside buy ends turn automatically]

Social commands (ends turn immediately when used)
##Attack <target> attacks target with available items in your inventory.
##Give <item> <target>, gifts/gives item to target.
##Massage <target>, gives massage to NPC. [max 1 person per NPC]
##Rage, throws tantrum. Can cause damage to furniture etc. [max 1 person per NPC]
##Socialize, attempts to socialize if there is a nearby person. Works both on NPC and players. [max 1 person per NPC]

Red = hazard, area is damaged or under attack. Take care of it ASAP.

Also Dular asked a good question:
Forgot to ask, is it possible to like.. Cook?  I'm pretty sure you don't buy green tea in a cup at the grocery store.
A hint for everybody, it is possible to cook but it requires you to obtain a recipe to know which items you need and also gives you new skill as servant, in this case ##Cook skill. Other items like drinks (tea/milk) do magically appear in a cup so can be instant consumed or given. Normally I was going to keep this hidden until you actually discovered it but don't want to make this too lame with moving back and forward.

Dicing change
Additionally, after this round I will grant everybody a 1d6 dice because 1d3 movement is **** slow and apologise for trying this out. Even in my playtest it looked "OK" but it seems not. So you still got time to reconsider your commands.

- Every life is worth 10 points
- Every CHA is worth 25 points
- Money is ignored, because it is constantly used and earned, therefore unfair to calculate in.
- +100 points if you were Servant titled.
- +100 points if you were Cook titled.

This went by quicker than anticipated.

I would gladly play this again, though I say this in the hopes that (a) it runs for a longer amount of time, and (b) a movement system boost similar to the one I suggested halfway through the game was implemented.

Remilia is still an asshole, though.

First of all thank you for partaking and showing interest in this forum game. I have a lot of to say but I am going to keep it short and hear more from you people.

Personally I consider this game a bad game. The game didn't run the way I expected/intended to run. This is totally to blame on my poor mechanism design. Especially with the dicing/moving/turn ending moves, they were conflicting heavily with the flow of the game as well as putting the players into near-impossible situations.

The AI was lacking several things but nothing too disturbing. I could've adjusted the values mid-game but that is bastard modding and I don't enjoy that. What was started, was used until the end. The AI was basically an IRC script I wrote which tossed random numbers with a certain chance. Each NPC in this game rolled a dice 1d3 where 1 = idle, 2 = movement 3 = action. If it was movement, another dice was rolled to decide the number of steps and the direction. For actions, each girl varied and here some things lacked.

Sakuya could demand one to clean a room. Remilia could demand a snack/edible or Flandre would demand a toy. Failure would result into -CHA or -Life, but these were not rolled often. Except on PX, Flandre seemed to like him.

I fully understand players do not think the way mods/gms do, which was logically the main reason for this slip up.. Therefore it is me to blame for not creating a more clear/transparent description on items etc or thinking it out bit more carefully. Either way, I enjoyed running it and hope at least you people enjoyed it somehow as well. If not, well... I'll invite you over for tea at the mansion. (I'll promise Kilga you won't get treated poorly this time).

Servants of SDM. You are hereby free from your sla-- eh jobs. Enjoy your freedom.

I will also say that I didn't mind being told to clean a room (and in retrospect I should have figured out how to become a servant faster than I did), but I have no idea why Sakuya told me to clean a room that was already clean, and I was further confused when I never received punishment for not doing it. It's an interesting mechanic that could see good use in future games, but it should be limited to rooms that are actually dirty.

Also Meiling trying to scold servants was really bizarre. I would have though she'd be the best target for ##Socialize of any NPC in the game, outside of maybe Flounder.

I know I didn't participate, but I just now had an idea that you could use next incarnation.

You could integrate a sort of "Relationship System".
Different actions have different outcomes with different people.
For example, Socialize would have more favorable outcomes with Flan. Because she doesn't get much outside of Sakuya, Patchy, and Remi. And so, would appreciate it a lot.
While doing your job and keeping the place clean in a punctual manner would improve relations with Sakuya.
Just what kind of bonuses it would confer is up in the air though. Maybe bonus CHA depending on the level you have with Remi?
Example Flavor Text: Your bond with the mistress has enabled you to become slightly more charismatic!

This is just a half-baked idea, but the base idea's there.

Oh look I won.

So after figuring out that moving and trying to do stuff was 90% not gonna happen, I figured I'd just set 1 or 2goals, like when I got the recipes I wanted to cook and do something with one, by endgame.
So after that I spent 3 turns trying to find water since I just got "broom and bucket" and thought I would need the water like the clean instructions said and it didn't occur to me that bucket was the water. :V
My last turn was literally, "Hmm go poke Cirno or use this meal that I spent all game trying to make, man."

Though when that gap appeared in the basement the first time my intent was to get that lone bookcase because something had to be there right?  I decided to ditch the bookcase and do one of two things with the gap, which was poke it and get something like an item, or poke it and lose like 5 life or die since Yukari did that at one point in another of your games and I was scared to poke it.  The rules implied we'd lose HP like it was going out of style.  It didn't and I lucked out.

Overall this was an interesting game to play but the time limit was killing me since I kept thinking, "God, how can I do stuff and not just sit here for a turn with the dicing."
so either a move boost of some sort or make the game last longer since I don't think anyone was ever in any danger of dying or being able to preform creative duties with the shop items since one could effectively only shop once or twice during the game to really do anything.  I had fun in the small amount of actions I was able to accomplish and if you decide to run this again with a few tweaks it could be a really cool game.

Well, yeah, the fact that people needed to spend a turn dicing before moving pretty much cut the game's time into half.  There were a lot of things one could try and do, such as go for the killing route with the legendary sword and stuff like that, but in general there was too little time to experiment, and thus the game sort of degraded into searching for dirty spots and cleaning them as fast as possible.  Spending two turns cleaning for the sure reward of 1 CHA and 25 points seemed more beneficial than spending 4 or 5 turns trying to cook something for a hitherto unknown reward.  I guess this could all be remedied by allowing people to at least dice 1d3 even after doing a turn-ending action.

I did like the discovery aspect of the game though, such as the shock of having my broom break on me after whacking two people and watching Schezo get 4 CHA by raging at Marisa.  Cooking should certainly have been more accessible though.  I also second Hanzo's dating sim suggestion and making the residents of SDM more 'human' in a sense.  Announcements such as Flandre wanting a specific dish delivered to her would add some tension to the game, etc.

Side note: Also, the basement's rooms being red was pretty misleading since the legend showed that red = cleaning needed asap.  Wasted two turns on that.

This is perhaps a bastard of me, but if people would have socialized with Meiling on turn 1, you would gotten to know the location of the broom+bucket and cooking book. (I was surprised nobody tried it). Meiling would've explained some secrets.

About Sakuya demanding cleaning. That was basically an action in my script turning her bitch-maid-mode. Even if it is clean, you're pinned down to clean. However, are rewarded for it.

Safely, we all agree the movmement mechanism was borked. I'll brainstorm something for this.

The raging at marisa earning +4 was because Patchouli was near. The funny thing is, he had to lose 2 life, but because Schezo gotten Daiyousei, all dmg was blocked. Frikken lucker.

Relationship outcomes were taken into account, but not in detail. For example, having certain CHA would trigger special events at girls. Having negative or low CHA would also trigger. I cannot spoil this unfortunately. Though it is perhaps something to consider for the next time.

Affinity, you are mentioning the Library when Marisa was raiding (Not Basement, Dular tried that). You tried to clean it, but there is nothing to clean since the entire library was being raided by her. Yes, it is bit unclear but then again Marisa being there, turning the entire library was a hint. About the basement being red, also hint was given what was wrong. (Even though they are bit mysterious as hell).
