> The woman nods.  "What are you looking for?"

> "Well, right now you're in Yukimura," the woman tells you.  Her brow creases in concern.  "It's north of Nakashima.  This is the center of town, so we're near the police station and the post office, as well as the market.  Are you here alone?  Where did you come from?"

> "I..."  The woman looks in the direction you pointed and frowns.  "Um, there isn't all that much here.  It's a small village.  Are you trying to get somewhere?"

> The woman makes a barely audible sigh and smooths her hair back with one hand.  A nervous tic, perhaps?
> "If, uh, you want to know where there is to go, you should keep following this road until you get to Nakashima.  That's where everything is--the schools, the library, the hospital, and the train to the mountains.  All the good shops, too, if that's what you're after.  You'll be all right by yourself, right?"

> "I could show you the way if you..."  The woman's eyebrows arch up.  "What shrine?"

> "That's....uh....the only shrines here are in the mountains," the woman says.  "I've never heard of a shrine like that before, and it sounds pretty far away, too."

> "Oh...Yes!  It's on the second floor of the community center."  The woman's tail swishes back and forth.  "It's a pretty big building, and it has a weeping willow growing outside so you can't miss it."

> "Good luck," the tanuki says.
> The two of you part ways, and you keep following the main road.  Despite what the tanuki said about Yukimura being a small town, there are so many people here.  Your path takes you through a clearing in the roads, where buildings circle a wide open space with a fountain at the center.  It's so busy here that you nearly lose your way in the crowds of people, going about their shopping.  You smell all sorts of food here but keep going.
> The crowds thin out again, and you're walking along a path through what you assume to be a residential area.  You walk and walk, until you've left the buildings behind and are traveling along a road through fields of wheat.  A lone sign stands on the side of the road.  It reads, "Nakashima: 5 miles".

> You take to the skies and fly over the path, watching the fields below ripple like an ocean of gold.  The scenery remains unchanged for a long time, until you start seeing buildings appear.  There are only a few farmhouses at first, but the number of buildings increase and you find yourself flying over a large, bustling town.  Unlike Yukimura, this town has taller and wider buildings.  The spaces in between the buildings have mysterious box-like shapes moving around, and the people on the streets seem to be avoiding them.
> Notable sights here include a temple a little past the center of town, a large building with a huge yard on the west end, and a slightly smaller building with some trees around it.  At the south end of town, the roads are criss-crossed with strange ladder-looking things.  You think Yukari told you about those once.  Tracks, you think?

> You float down towards the building surrounded by trees.  As you get closer, you see people loitering around here.  The structure of the building is unlike anything you've ever seen, a very geometric design.  A huge willow tree is outside the entrance, and many children are gathered around trying to climb its branches.

> You land on the sidewalk, much to the surprise of no one.  Walking into the center you find that it is quite big on the inside, with high ceilings.  You can see a flight of stairs leading up to the second floor, which is visible from where you're standing.  It looks like there's some sort of cafe to the left, and a lounge on the right.  On the far end of the wall is a picture of a map.  It must be made out of a strange kind of paper, because you swear it's emitting light.
