>One of them depicts a road with a rather strange background. The sky is orange, with cyan clouds. Next to the road is some black bushes and a black tree. Other than the strange coloring, this photo seems normal.
>Another depicts a barren red landscape with a dull pinkish-brownish clear sky. Several brown creatures with eye stalks can be seen.
>Yet another one shows a mountain towering above a grassland with...improbably large tusked elephant-like creatures accompanied by several humanoids. Due to the distance, you can't see any of their features.

>Yuyuko: "Anything look familiar, Yukari?"

>"No. But of course, the gaps may just be in a different location than these scenes."

>Reimu: "Yeah, about what I thought. Although those skies stood out. But yeah, wasn't expecting much. Worth a try, though."

>Eirin says "I suppose the option for travel is there when you need it. Otherwise, I have nothing."
>Yorihime almost inaudibly says "I'm just going to continue wandering Gensokyo for a while," then stands up.

>Reimu: "We should take pictures. You know, to show to people."
>Shiki: "And for our own reference as well. A good idea. Perhaps we should speak with Aya or Hatate while we're on the mountain."
>Reimu: "Or the kappa. I'm pretty sure they're the ones who actually make the things."
>Shiki: "A change in plans, then. Let us speak to Rikako first."
>Yuyuko: "Yukari, if you would, please?"

[Blitzer]

>After a ten-second wait, a gap appears.

>You enter the gap and end up back in front of Rikako's house. It is exactly the same as before, but with less people.

>Sukia: "Let's go in."
>Move to open the door.
>Shiki: Block Suika from just barging in.
>"Let's be polite this time."
>Suika: Turn into mist, pass under the door, reform on the other side, and open the door.
>Shiki: ...
>Koishi/Yuyuko: Laugh.
>Party: Head in.

[Blitzer]

>Move to open the door.

>Suika: Turn into mist, pass under the door, reform on the other side, and open the door.

>You turn into mist, pass through, and open the door.  Somebody nearby says "What the hell-?!"

>Shiki: ...

>Again with the barging in. On the other side of the door, you hear somebody, probably Rikako, say "What the hell-?!"

>Koishi/Yuyuko: Laugh.

>Ohohohoho.

>Party: Head in.

>You all head in. Inside you see Suika, who doesn't seem to have noticed an annoyed Rikako behind her.
>"Oh, it's you." She then turns to Suika. "Could you just knock next time? I know you're an oni and all, but that doesn't mean you should dispense with the manners."

>Shiki: "They seem intent on ignoring any semblance of polite behavior."
>Reimu: "Anyways, we've got some new info, and then we want some help."
>Shiki: "Allow me to explain."
>Summarize what's happened since we parted ways with her.
>"We would like to use your portal-viewing device to learn as much about this other world as we can. Also, it just now occurred to me to ask you about the Rathi Overlay. I don't suppose you know anything about it?"
>Koishi: "Also, make something that lets us go through these gaps, 'cause we just can't get to that world."

>Koishi: "Also, make something that lets us go through these gaps, 'cause we just can't get to that world."

>"That would take a long time. Months, maybe years."

>Shiki: "I believe we already discussed that particular issue, Koishi."
>Koishi: "Doesn't hurt to ask."
>Shiki: "True enough, I suppose."
>"Anyways, Rikako, may we borrow your device, or would you rather come with us and operate it yourself?"

[Blitzer]

>You watch as a gap slowly opens up for...fifteen seconds, then enter it.
>You end up in the middle of a road intersection. The road is paved with sand-colored bricks, and several buildings of various heights surround you. In front of you is a high metal pole with what seems to be a clock on the top of it. Around you are various kappa of various builds (although the teenage girl build is rather common...), genders (there are more males in Gensokyo than you expected!), and hair colors (blue, purple, and green, it seems). Some of them have taken notice of you, but few seem shocked by people suddenly appearing in the middle of their town. There is some murmuring going on, though.

>Reimu: Ask the nearest person where we could get a camera. Repeat until we find someone who knows.

>Shiki: "I think we should perhaps stop relying on Yukari so much for transportation. We may be wearing her out; it seems to be taking her longer to open up each gap."
>Yuyuko: "Oh, do you need a break, dear?"

>"No, I don't. My powers are being sapped, though."
>You hear a few kappa say "What the...?"

>Reimu: Ask the nearest person where we could get a camera. Repeat until we find someone who knows.

>You ask the nearest kappa, a teenage-looking girl with purple hair and eyes, where you could find a camera. She looks surprised "Um...well...uh...there are stores where you could get a camera around there..." She points North.

[Blitzer]

>Party: Head north until we find such a store.

>You head north. As Reimu, you hear a male kappa behind you say "Well, that wasn't too bad for seeing the Hakurei shrine maiden for the first time."
>North is a straight road with a collection of what look like stores on all sides. There doesn't seem to be restaurants or residential areas around here. You eventually stop at a store with a collection of cameras at the window.

>You enter the shop. There are one or two kappa perusing the shop, with a clerk in the far back. When he notices you, he becomes shocked.

>Reimu has 30☼ right now. The rest of you have none. Eiki and Yuyuko don't bother with money, Suika usually freeloads off of Reimu, and Koishi doesn't take any from Satori even though she's usually away from home for days.

>Shiki/Reimu: Approach the clerk.
>Shiki: "I will make this brief: we have need of a camera."
>Reimu: "Nothing fancy. Just something that'll take pictures and print them out."

>You approach the clerk. On closer inspection, he looks old, has whitish-green hair, and a plain white shirt on. He clearly looks intimidated.

>Shiki: "I will make this brief: we have need of a camera."
>Reimu: "Nothing fancy. Just something that'll take pictures and print them out."

>"Well...our cheapest one costs 80☼..."

>Reimu: "Crap. I only have 30☼."
>Shiki: "Could we perhaps simply borrow one? You have my word that it would be returned undamaged."
>If not: "Then is there perhaps something we could do in place of a monetary payment? I would rather not go into details, but this is important."
>Reimu: "And by that, she means we're in the middle of an incident."

Shiki at least would not put up with fleecing him from lack of money. =(
