> You ponder the feathers.  The distressed feeling Kikuri identified might have something to do with the dream world, but whose feelings were they?  Yours?  Someone else's?  And how did they get into your stomach?  Whatever it is, it feels like a bad omen.

> "Ah--"  You leave so quickly that Konngara doesn't get a chance to say anything.
> You run out of the shrine, and take off.  The snow falls heavily, surrounding you as you fly over the city and towards the Palace.  It piles up on rooftops and on the streets, and blankets Satori's front yard with a thick white sheet.  There are no animals outside right now as you land shin-deep in snowdrift.  It admittedly looks beautiful, all this snow.  It's like powdered sugar, or soft cream.

> You hover out of the snow and fly up to the front door. 
> Entering the house, you see that it has been lit by the glow of danmaku.  From here, you can see that someone has moved some small sofas into the room with the stairs.  On one of these sofas is a girl you quickly identify as Kasen, wrapped up in a blanket and fast asleep with a few cats draped over her.  There is one rabbit resting near her head as well.  All sound is hushed in here, even the sound of the crackling fireplace echoing throughout the halls.

> She's completely asleep.
> You call out to Kasen, and although you're far away, your voice carries enough that she stirs and lifts her head.  If you could just get a little closer, you could see what expression she's making right now.

> You go the full way into the house and inch closer to the sofa area.  Kasen is wrapped in a wool blanket, with only her head and one foot sticking out.  There's a cat on her stomach, a few cuddled behind her legs, one under her head, and a rabbit nuzzled up next to her face.  She's moving her eyes around, appearing perfectly content to stay a warm burrito.  A cat nudges her foot and she draws it into the blanket cocoon.  She looks so tired that she doesn't even see you coming.  Her eyes are barely open, and her mouth is agape.  She turns her head towards the rabbit, makes a sleepy grunt, and closes her eyes again.

> Kasen stirs and tries to wiggle out of the blanket, scaring off the cat on her stomach.  She props herself up on her elbows and yawns.

>"What can you tell me about these?"

I think it would be worth telling her the whole story, from the dream to the strangulation to the awkward accusations.
She already thinks she's our moral compass, so let's put that to the test.

> You show Kasen the envelope containing the feathers.  She sits up, takes it from you and peers inside.
> "Ah.  There's an evil presence in these feathers," she says.  She stifles a yawn and continues to speak.  "You should...destroy...them...."
> Her head lolls, and she drops the envelope.

> You retrieve the envelope.
> When you speak to Kasen, she jolts awake.
> "Wha?!  Sorry, just woke up..." she murmurs.

> "Okaaay..."  Kasen reaches out and takes your hand.  In the next few moments, she is so quiet you swear she's fallen asleep again, but then her eyes open.
> "You don't have any evil spirits, but something feels misaligned...I wonder what..."  She lets go of your hand, takes one of the cats into her arms, and scratches it behind the ears.

> "I don't know...I've never felt something like this before," Kasen says.  She rubs her eyes.  "Do you know what caused it?"
