> Well, whatever. We'll show them! Hit button 109.
>You hit the top button, and one of them snickers at the same time oh-so-coincidentally. The doors close a moment later, and the room starts to lift. Looking out the back of the tub, you can see the building plaza and street retreating away below. During this time, you are fairly sure you catch strains to the tune of "trashy", "meat", and "garbage lady" from the youkai, and some more laughter. It takes only a few seconds from the doors to open again, as a light at the top of the doors lights up behind a number 3. The two of them get off, and several more youkai enter hitting their own buttons. None of them say anything, but you do get a few looks, mostly of the disapproving nature as the doors close again.
>Thus begins an odyssey of some minutes, as room stops every few floors, some people enter and some people leave. No one seems particularly happy to see you, but they don't seem interested in more than nasty looks. The room rises quite quickly, but smoothly. As you reach the upper floors, though, the stops become less frequent, and the last 20 floors you are left alone with no further stops. The doors finally slide open at floor 109 to reveal a small lobby, and glass-plated front to the establishment you were peeking into. Two doors stand across the lobby from you. Standing between you and the doors is a tall oni with muscular arms and an outrageous bust, her long brown hair woven into a braid. She wears clothing that reminds you of Reisen's jacket, save it is an entire suit of clothes. She regards you quietly and passively, arms crossed.
