> :3 To be honest, they haven't acted openly hostile yet, but you ponder anyway. While the danmaku attacks used during spell card duels are nothing but fancy lights, you are free to use whatever measures you like outside of organized duels. For example, when you used sheet music on the gray beast youkai yesterday, the bullets were very real, and likely very painful.

> :) triangles answers you almost immediately. "Wolves? those aren't supposed to be outside of the forest! What's going on down there?!"

> :V You don't know if they have the sapience to be as affected as humans, but they likely wouldn't like it much at all.

>The wolves are no longer stopped, but are instead moving across your field of vision, keeping their distance. They are likely waiting for your team to make the first move, but they aren't even growling.

>The wolves suddenly decide that if you aren't going to move, they'll try to force you away! One of them charges you, trying to take you by surprise! However, your newest companion senses the movement of its body heat before your eyes register it, and leaps from it's cozy space on Sana and onto the wolf's snout!
>The charging wolf stops in surprise before trying to force your friend off. It cannot open it's mouth because much of its face is inside of the leech, so it's stuck trying to force it off with its front paws instead.
>The other four wolves, taken aback by the affront upon their leader, growl and begin running at you en mass! You're not at all surprised now, so you each have plenty of time to react. How will each of you react to the attackers?

>Draw blade
>Turn it so the flat or back of the weapon is readied, as appropriate, and move in to start bludgeoning wolves with it til they get the hint and go away. No need seriously hurt them, just drive them away.

> :V Finishing the trio, you draw your cold blade and turn it to hit with the blunt side. So far, you're the only one with this sort of idea... Do you want to communicate it to your comrades?

Sanaside

>It's not hate, it's tough love.
>Also consider to backup the team with healing spells if they will need them. At least, if the battle is over.

>Not from here, it ain't.
> :) You keep some simple healing spells in the back of your mind, just in case anyone gets hurt.

Quote
Others

>Try to draw the wolves' attention to yourselves, not Sana.
Janaside: Interpose self between Sana and Wolveses.

 > :3 :V You both position yourselves slightly in front of Sana, on either side with Trance on the left and Jana on the right.

> :) Craft a Laguz Lance.
> Totally own those wolves!

> :) You would need both time and materials to craft a new weapon! You psych yourself up for the upcoming fight with thoughts on owning wolves and a new lance.

Severed Sana Arm: Unleash chaos by grabbing Jana's ass.
Chaos: Knock them all down.

Tranceblade: Embrace masochism.

> :) You cannot grab Jana's ass while holding your lance! Besides, that would be kind of mean!
> :V This isn't the time for those kinds of thoughts!

Sana: Aggress using lance!
Jana: Play hard rock on your axe!
Trance: Use non-card danmaku.
Leech: Waggle comically.

(Also I'm listening to "Showtime!" on loop as I type this.)

> :) You step forward and poke your lance at the first wolf in range, sticking your weapon out past Jan and Trance's shielding of you. The wolf is caught in the side as it jumps away, and is now bleeding lightly as it recovers for another attack.
> :3 You cannot play while in a melee stance! You interpret the music in your head as a desire to attack, and slam your axe down upon an unfortunate wolf. Its head has been messily cut in half while still attached to its body, but it's safe to say that this one is down.
> :V You swing your sword at the two remaining wolves and fire off some light ice shards. They aren't enough to seriously wound your targets, but they have been slowed by the shards impacting upon their flesh.
>The leech wriggles around as it sucks the wolf dry. It's starting to grow a little bit.

> There are three targets left, four if you count the wolf being preyed upon by your leech. Of the three wolves, two are bleeding lightly from ice shards in heir front halves, while one is limping from a slash wound on its side. It shouldn't take much more to finish here.

> :V You reprimand Jana for splitting that wolf's head. She nods back, and Sana acknowledges you with an "Okay!"
>You move in on the two you hit with danmaku, trying to beat them down with the flat of your sword. However, it isn't nearly as easy to swing this way, and you only manage some glancing blows.
> :) As Trance moves to beat away some wolves, the one you injured comes back to attack you! You jump back in time to let Jan catch it off-guard.
> :3 You bring the string-less flat side of your axe down on the wolf's head. It yelps out before hitting the ground hard.
>The leech seems to have finished its overstuffing meal and releases the dazed leader-wolf. It can still fight, but not very well.

>You follow Trance's directions and move left, attacking with a swing of the flat side of your axe. The swing is significantly slower due to increased resistance, and the wolf you attack dodges it easily with a backflip (?). Still, you've succeeded in breaking up their formation...

>As the leech retakes it's perch on Sana, the three of you push your attack. Jana rushes n from the left, simply ramming a wolf with the flat of her axe rather than swinging. Trance connects a hit on the drained wolf with the flat of her sword. Sana backswings her lance, hitting the third wolf in the abdomen. The three wolves appear to be down for the count!
